“Al-Queda sympathizers prefer Kerry by wide margins.”

That is interesting “logic.” You are calling most Arab-Americans terrorist supporters. Since the Bush administration has done nothing to find a “final solution” to the problem you believe exists, that means that Bush tacitly supports terrorism. Don’t you realize how ridiculous racism is? : - )

“Man, it's a good thing we let so many in..../sarcasm.”

Correct. If it weren’t for them, Al Gore would be president today. 1/7 of the funds Bush raised in 2000 came from Arab-Americans.

“Because they became Al-Queda sympathizers after September 11th.”

That doesn’t make any sense. THINK about it. You are saying they started to sympathize with a group after it attacked their country and announced that it wanted to kill them. Yeah, that makes sense.

“Exactly - if those who are the closest related to our primary enemy at this time are in favor of Kerry - that's almost as good a reason to vote for anyone else as being endorsed by the Communist Party....which Kerry also will be supported by.”

That is fallacious, racialist, and simplistic. Al-Qaeda is an ideological group. Ancestry has nothing to do with it.

Why did they back Bush in 2000? Does that mean you backed terrorism in 2000?

“You forgot about Sept. 11, 2001, the event that emboldened the islamocommiefascistRATs in America...amongst us, plotting against us in our own neighborhoods, inside the 'mosques'.”

Your profound ignorance is showing. Three-fourths of US Arabs are Christian.

Really? There are 7 million Muslims in the US. How many terrorist attacks have they “plotted against us in our own neighborhoods, inside the mosques”? Wow. If a substantial share were against us, we’d be screwed if they were. Either they aren’t or you know something that they and the Bush administration knows. Are you the guy in charge of activating Al-Qaeda cells or something?

“And this is a surprise to whom?”

People with knowledge of politics. The Arabs are historically a Republican group but the hatred that is widespread in this thread is why they have switched sides. The Democrats hate them even more but they hide it behind their political correctness.

“I never bought the claim that arabs backed Bush in 2000. It was likely false polling to influence the Jewish vote to go against Republicans.”

Do you have any evidence to support that?

The Jewish vote always goes heavily Democratic—usually at 80%. There was no need for a vast left-wing conspiracy to increase Jewish support. Arabs were Republican because they are socially and fiscally conservative (the median Arab-American’s income is roughly $60,000 which is double the national average).

“I do believe that David Bonoir was a congressman from the most arab community in the US...nuff said.”

Ted Kennedy and John Kerry are the senators from the most Irish state in the US. What conclusion do you draw from that? Or are “things different” when it comes to the Irish?

“They should put all Arab Americans in camps like they did the Japs! ;-)”

This is precisely why they switched sides. It is a shame that hateful extremists among our movement have ruined our image among Arabs like they did with Hispanics. President Bush is far tolerant than any pseudo-tolerant PC RAT, but people like this burn those bridges.

Do you realize the consequences of a genocide of Arab-Americans?

Do you think a Republican Senator should be put into a concentration camp? Why? What did he do? Yeah, let’s give the Democrats the Senate so we can fulfill the racist fantasies of extremists.

“Arab-Americans Would Pick Kerry Over Bush
Big deal.”

1/7 of Bush’s 2000 funds came from Arab-Americans. This is indeed a big deal. They are 5% of the vote in Michigan, 2% in Florida, and 1.5% in Ohio. Their share of the electorate is greater because they are a well-educated group (3/5 have college degrees) and are more likely to vote.

“I don't care what hyphenated Americans think. About anything :)”

This is exactly why the party of Reagan and Eisenhower has lost the Asian, Hispanic, and now Arab vote in just the last decade.

Who do you think hyphenated them in the first place?

“That seems to loudly and clearly answer the question of whether they are with us or with the terrorists.”

How so? So why haven’t they, who are 7 million strong, attacked the US? It has been almost 3 years. If US Muslims hated us, they would have attacked us several times daily. The racialist theory that all Muslims are terrorists has been debunked by the realities of the post-9/11 world.
So you are saying that half the country and over 90% of blacks support terrorism? In that case, we are screwed.

“Of course they support him because he would drop America's pants and bend over for them "literally, formally".”

How so?

“So, 59% of Arab-Americans are Al-Qaeda sympathizers and another 13% won't admit it publicly. That's about what I expected.”

Then that debunks the premise of your statement. 59% is not much higher than the rate of support Kerry has among people you probably consider “real Americans.” Thanks for making that insightful comment, though. It exposed the fallacy of that “reasoning.”

“DUUUUHH I WONDER WHY?”

People like you and Ann Coulter are why. They always voted Republican and your ilk branded them the enemy for something a few thousand foreigners did. Nice going. We may have a socialist president in 2005 because of racism.

“They SHOULD be supporting Nader, he's actually an arab-american.”

Most people vote based on a candidate’s policies, not their ethnicity.

“I'm real surprised that those who support Islamoterrorism prefer Kerry. Yep.?”

How do they support terrorism? Apparently you know something Ashcroft doesn’t. Again, use basic logic. If 7 million Muslims supported terrorism, we’d be screwed. Can you name one terrorist attack done by US Muslims since 9/11?

“Let me get this straight: Zogby thinks he's HELPING Kerry with this news?”

Isn’t Zogby a Republican? I know he backed the Gulf War.

“It is most appropriate that they put the Arab before the American because these people are #1 Arabs over being Americans!”

That is a serious charge. Do you have any evidence to support it?

“If you were to read the entire article you would find that American Jewish voters vote Democratic at much more higher rates than Arab Americans.”

Exactly. Using their logic, Jews support Islamist terrorism at a far higher rate than Arabs. How absurd is that?

“I don't care what hyphenated Americans think. About anything :)

Good post.”

How? First, how do you define who is and who isn’t a hyphenated American? This response should be very telling…

“I never bought the claim that arabs backed Bush in 2000.
Neither did I. Arab Muslims lie are notorious for lying through their teeth.”

Evidence? That is a serious charge. Moreover, since they brand them liars, can you name an ethnic group that is renowned for its honesty.

Here is the bottom line for the racists in this thread, if all Muslims or even a large share of them are terrorists, the Bush administration is engaged in treason because it has not arrested them. That is ridicolous, obviously. The President knows what is going on in the world and his country. If US Muslims were terrorists, he would deal with them but President Bush is an intelligent man who knows what the facts are.
