I'm cool with "anti-abortion". It cuts right to the chase.

I have to march because my mother could not have an abortion. -Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif) at Anti-Bush Pro-Abortion Rally Sunday, April 25.WTF????? That sounds like she saying, "Darn it, if only my Mom had been able to kill me before I was born! If she had, I wouldn't have been stuck marching in this thing."

Lance Armstrong is a dog. He ditched his family for Cherly Crowe.

Well, in reality they have two arguements, but they won't admit them. Abortion is the one topic for which I am extremely passionate in my beliefs. There are just way too many ways to prevent pregancy these days for their arguments to have any merit, but I know they still try. My answer - deal with it. There are thousands and thousands of couples on adoption waiting lists. So you gain weight and go through the embarrassment of delivering and giving up a child. Maybe you'll plan a little more carefully then next time, right?
I can be pretty outspoken, and less than sympathetic to these weak excuses, since I can speak with complete authority on the issue. Many years ago, I was 17, in high school and pregnant. My boyfriend cut and ran. Believe me, it was NOT convenient! But I made my mess, and I had to lie in it. Instead of whining about poor "me", who's going to help "me"? I sucked it up and did what I had to - do what was necessary to give my child a chance at a good life. (it was actually the turning point in my political attitude - I worked so hard to make it, but saw so many with their hands out wanting something for nothing - and I saw it was coming out of my paycheck!) Today I am the proud mother of a gorgeous, intelligent, talented and CONSERVATIVE young dental student. I thank God for him everyday and pray for all those children who never got a chance at life.
Please excuse my personal rant, but it is a subject that is close to me, as I've lived it, and it just burns me to hear these pathetic excuses! These women need to grow up and take some responsibility for their actions.

Amen Bryn! Your story sounds similar to my own, and I have the privilege of being the mom to a sweet, smart, wonderful, 10 year old daughter.
Abortion was NEVER an option for me. Like you, I made some very bad decisions, but took full responsibility for them. And God in his mercy has showered blessings on me and my daughter IN SPITE of my sins. That's a merciful God.

Didn't she marry a doctor and has since (years now) been 'pro-life' or am I thinking of another model?

All I can say is....
un-friggin'-believable!Well, one more thing...
Please extraterrestrials, take over soon, but...
...please, don't blame us real humans for the intelligence level which has befallen much of the earth. It's not totally our fault. We know you won't be getting a bargain (bang for the buck) when you do, but we'll help you sort out the evil possessed mindless and useless people who can possibly be used as fuel for your UFO ships and/or crash test dummies for other projects.
Sheeeesh!!!

Can someone tell me what´s the legal situation in the US regarding abortion? It´s state law, right? So what are the regulations in most of the States? Is abortion legal?

I wouldn't want to deny anyone on that list any form of birth control, no matter how drastic the form.
It is liberals that terminate their pregnancies. Liberals give birth to people who will grow up to vote for Democrats and degrade society in other ways. A democracy is all about numbers.
To: God'sgrrl
In addition to being supporters of abortion, these "celebrities" have another thing in common: they have already been born!!! Wouldn't most liberals otherwise call their stance a "conflict of interest"?

Hey, Bea Arthur made the list. N.O.W. the party can start. I thought the pro-abortion supporters said men shouldn't have a say in the matter! Or did they make an exception for Bea? ; )

Like you, I made some very bad decisions, but took full responsibility for them. And God in his mercy has showered blessings on me and my daughter IN SPITE of my sins. That's a merciful God. My Mom always said, "God will never give you a greater burden than you can bear." Sometimes I think we are tested in life, and how we respond to that test determines your path. Yes, we made bad choices, but I think everyone does to a certain degree, especially when you are young and naive. We are human and have failings. But how you deal with the consequences of those choices is the true measure of character.
You sound like a great mom and your daughter is very lucky that God gave her to you. The important thing is to make sure she knows she is wanted and not a "mistake". I never missed an opportunity to let my son know that while my choices were wrong, I was blessed that he was given to me. I also emphasized that he should NOT follow in my footsteps, but to learn from my mistakes. I must say, he turned out awesome. He is everything that a parent could want in a child. Even in his teen years, he never gave me any grief. As an adult, he is responsible and mature. I believe our situation actually helped make him more responsible, mature and conservative.
I wish you and your daughter all the best.
