I agree that the best method is to get a letter writing campaign going to all the advertisers each time we catch something so outrageous such as this stupid "brain thing"......it's quite possible to press them so hard that in the end advertisers will decide it's just not worth it to sponsor some of these shows...but they have to be hit with massive amounts of complaints etc..(being polite does help the cause)
Also think the apathy in this country has led us to the place we now find ourselves in...people too busy with their own lives to pay attention to what is going on....and even then claim they have no time to do anything about it.....and then BOOM one day they come out of their cocoon and are shocked at what they see...by then they are my age (68) and feel it's too late to do anything about it......WRONG....it's never to late!!
Yes indeed money does talk...so write those advertisers!

I haven't watched ABC in.....damn....I honestly can't think of the last time I watched ABC or CBS.I'll be honest and admit I regularly watch Scrubs on NBC....not that it matters.....
Anyway, while I'm sure ABC snidely reported the Doctor's findings, I can't say I'm the least bit surprised about the report: though I think of myself as being somewhat neurotic, I've by-and-large noticed that conservatives tend to be far more even-handed in their emotions.
It's a mind-set that was once called Stoicism. I recall the Stoicist Emperor Marcus Aurelius writing that a man should learn to react to sharp and sudden pain - such as the loss of an eye - the same as he'd react to a long-term, gradual ailment. And, in Stoic thinking, emotions were to be dealt with the same way.
People who possess that Stoic functioning of the brain tend to be conservative. By and large, liberals wear their emotions on their sleeves and so, an MRI which proves it doesn't surprise me in the least.
I'd be interested also in seeing a study about political persuasions that can and cannot keep their big, fat mouths shut. Have you ever noticed how if you're sitting in a restaurant trying to have a peaceful meal, or you're relaxing on a bus, or standing in line at some store, the jackass behind you spouting off about politics is ALWAYS a liberal?
I hate that.

Just how stupid do they think their audience is? Very stupid - they're recruiting liberals with this propaganda.

Why torment yourself by watching these idiots? Their day is coming. ABC is losing viewers by the droves. Soon that moron Charles Gibson will be unemployed, too.

"Why torment yourself by watching these idiots? Their day is coming. ABC is losing viewers by the droves. Soon that moron Charles Gibson will be unemployed, too."They are outdoing themselves for the election. The average person should be able to see their bias, which means more votes for the President.
Maybe, just maybe, it is working in our favor.
As far as, me watching the show, I don't have a receiver for my Dish Network in my garage. Not too much to choose from, except the propaganda networks.
I sit in my garage in the mornings, because my wife won't let me smoke in the house.

" Have you ever noticed how if you're sitting in a restaurant trying to have a peaceful meal, or you're relaxing on a bus, or standing in line at some store, the jackass behind you spouting off about politics is ALWAYS a liberal?"I guess that is why it seems like there are more Libs, than Conservatives. They are just more vocal.

"Lets get charlie the pictures of the children that were blown and burned to bits by these terrorists today. How can it be anyone wants to leave these creeps in control, which is exactly what they are after?"Remember, the video on Fox with the imprisoned children being released by the coalition troops?
That should be enough for anyone to know what we are doing, is the right thing to do. How could anyone place young children in a jail? Some had been there for years.
It still breaks my heart when I think about it.

May I continue to add to your optimism, Maria ... don't forget that the home schoolers are making their way out into the world ... in what number, I don't know ... but their education is solid and their values are conservative (I say this from observation). School vouchers will help. Concerned parents can then tap into better education than what their children are now receiving. There was a statistic quoted here on FR sometime back about the percentage of school teachers who sent THEIR children to private schools ... quite high, as I recall. If it weren't for these unseen parents providing a quality education for their children, I'd be pessimistic, too.
