PS:
I think its fine that you posted this article. Its a solid piece of evidence in the ability of a softporn king to continue to spread propaganda. You asked if this story was significant, I offered my two cents.

Newspapers reported on Tuesday that police were investigating plots to launch suicide attacks, possibly at Manchester United's Old Trafford ground and their rival's City of Manchester Stadium and the Trafford Centre shopping complex. But both football clubs and the shopping centre said they had not been specifically targeted.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3641547.stm
As if they would admit a soccer stadium was the target and risk scaring the fans away. Think of the money lost, man! Of course there'd be some 'splaining to do if the bombs had gone off at the first goal.

The article does not say how the terrorists would smuggle in enough explosives to kill thousands - that would require more than the typical explosive belt available at Terrorists-R-Us.

Thank God this plot was foiled.
If these terrorists don't qualify for the death penalty, no one does.

It's a good thing they don't try to blow up a soccer stadium in the USA. They might kill... um... ones of people...
Maybe they already have and no one noticed.
Good job by the British anti-terrorism chaps.
