I'm going to take a wild guess and say the actual figures are suppressed because we killed a hell of a lot of Iraqis in a very unfair fight. We destroyed a whole bunch of Iraqi divisions on our way in, and have killed and captured many enemies since. But us vs. them is not why we do this. Soldiers die in far-off places defending our right to live in peace over here.

I don't know. I just did a google search and all it lists is U.S. casualties and (innocent) civilian Iraqi deaths.

Well it's a hell of a lot less than Vietnam! I remember Vietnam. It seems many Americans do NOT.

I meant.....WE've lost less. As far as these brainless followers of what's his name, I think we're getting through to them.

Looks like 16,000+ from FBI stats. Maybe I would be safer in Iraq :)

A better question might be how many enemy deaths were NOT from Iraq?

Stay calm all of you, please. More info will be giving to you later. Trust me on this, more enemies has died then media reports and more action is going right now then media reports also.

sheesh, I live in the midwest too:
The Midwest
With 22.6 percent of the U.S. population, the Midwest accounted for 20.4 percent of the country's murders. The estimated 3,298 murders in the Midwest represented a 3.0 percent decrease from the region's murder total in 2001. The 2002 murder rate per 100,000 population was 5.1, a decrease of 3.5 percent from the previous year's rate. (See Tables 3 and 4.)

"heck, with 16,000 deaths in the US from murderers maybe we can convince the liberals to pull out of the US :)" And of that 16,000 how many of them are second offenders let out of jail, by liberal judges?

Nearly as many as Teddy's car?
To: optik_b
Over 1000+ insurgents killed. Hundreds captured. Hundreds more wounded.
And this is not counting the mauling coalition forces have done to Sadr's militia men.
To: bogdanPolska12
I agree, the body count on the other side doesn't matter, although, my heart breaks when I hear of the loss of our troops or those of the coalition. But in war, the loss of life is unavoidable.
What I focus on is the progress we are making. There is no doubt in my mind that we are seeing the desperation of the remaining Fayhadeen Saddam, Baathist, and sorted other Terrorists who flocked to Iraq to fight us. The last audio tape released by Osama bin Laden was pure desperation, he was calling for a 3 month truce to anyone in the coalition who would remove their troops from Muslim lands, That's absolutely laughable. The fact is, we are kicking the Shiite out of them and they know it.

We're having enough trouble with the rest of the world without giving them numbers to beat us over the head with. If they knew the numbers they'd be out there wringing their hands like crazy.

Domino is loose. Sharp close are on it, a lot of dead leaves are off, slow but surely forest of dead trees will be clear.
