Gorelick et alia cared LESS about murderous illegal aliens
than the chance the their "WALL" protecting terrorist [read THEIR CLIENTS] might end.

Is that what happened to Barbara Wise?

Close the borders. It may not be practical, but it would be effective.

Somehow I thought the 911 commission was supposed to look at PRE-911 matters so we could learn from them. Passing judgement on POST-911 matters is an entirely different mandate (one which I do not believe they have).

And such mission creep opens a very large Pandora's box.

Yet ANOTHER Gorelick Conflict

According to the OIG report, NPR employee Doug Farbrother claimed that his boss, senior Gore adviser Elaine Kamarck, told him Clinton wanted the reinventors to goose the immigration agency "because of his belief that the large number of people in California waiting for naturalization represented likely votes for him in the 1996 election."

Farbrother began raising hell with Meissner, firing off hotheaded memos demanding action, and complaining to his superiors about her resistance. In one missive, Farbrother suggested ways the INS could keep the program from looking like "a Clinton voter mill."

Gore's man was so obnoxious that then-Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick threw him out of a meeting - but later advocated his ideas with Meissner.

Given the title of this thread, I think post 6 is relevant vis a vis conflict of interest.
Your thoughts?

I'd seen Gorelick mentioned in articles on the CUSA scheme, but never one that said she "back-door" advocated it.

Thanks, nopardons! ;)
Every other mention of this I've seen regarding Gorelick's role, makes it seem like she was "cleaning up" the INS's act. The bottom line is, if the 911 Omission is gonna investigate immigration policy with respect to security problems, then this is another GLARING example of how Ms. Gorelick should be sitting in the witness chair, not on the freakin commission!

I know what you mean...we probably know her better than her mother does, LOL!
Yes, I'd read that she was on the board of a "big oil co.', but not the company's name.

Gorelick effectively aided and abetted in the terrorist murder of over 3,000 innocent American civilians, yet, incredibly, she still has not testified before this silly "commission" which purports to want to leave no stone unturned. And the punchline to this whole pathetic joke is that she still sits on this stinking "commission"!

Any credibility that this "commission" may have once had is long, long gone. It is clearly nothing more than an election-year opportunity for washed-up has-beens to grandstand and for Democrat operatives to finger-point and try to divert the blame away from the Democrat administration which all but ignored 8 years worth of terrorist attacks ('93 WTC bombing, the Cole, Kobar Towers, etc.) and pin it on the Bush administration which was in office less than 8 months when the 9-11-01 attacks occurred. It is a disgrace.

Frankly, all I see now when I see anything about this useless "commission" is my tax dollars swirling down the toilet. Where is the outrage??

SHUT DOWN THE COMMISSION NOW!

I'd love to see David Schipper's back in the fight, he literally wrote
the book on the CUSA vote buying scheme.
