We need to get a good photo of this kid to carry at the rally on Sunday.

What would we do without Al Jazeera? CBS/ABC/NBC don't have any reporters with enough courage to leave their Baghdad hotel bar. To get real news of what's happening one must rely on guys like Ollie North and Geraldo Rivera, who are not afraid to visit the "boots on the ground".

Al Jazeera should have an 'accident' of unknown origin. Probably a gas leak ;) That is the first thing I thought after hearing of this on the way home today.
Those Al-Jazeera pricks have no problem showing any footage of their muslim brethren making their endless threats, the cutting off Daniel Pearl's head, mobs jumping around beating burnt Americans and hanging them from bridges, or showing off their American prisoners.
But then they turn around and refuse to air a defiant Italian civilian being murdered because it's "too gruesome"?
The only reason they didn't air that piece was because the guy probably made them look like the cowardly little cold-blooded murdering chicken-sh!t pussbags that they really are.
I agree. Take them out...they are part of the problem, IMO.

Are these the same two soldiers that later found buried where two were soldiers?
To: BushisTheMan
I believe they were in the same convoy that was ambushed.

"My name is Keith Matthew Maupin. I am a soldier from the 1st Division," he said, looking into the camera. "I am married with a 10-month-old son. I came to liberate Iraq, but I did not come willingly because I wanted to stay with my child." This kind of bugged me for some reason...

You are correct. The Walmart RFID tag stories are silly. They are used for inventory control in the supply chain, not to track customers outside the store.

That's interesting. Still, if one didn't know him, one could consider that kinda demoralizing...
Anyway, that's neither here nor there. Hope he get's back ok.

Prayers going up for
Sgt. Elmer C. Krause, 40, of Greensboro, N.C., and Pfc. Keith M. Maupin, 20, of Batavia, Ohio. Both soldiers were assigned to the Army Reserve's 724th Transportation Company, based in Bartonville, Ill. Lord, may your Spirit minister to these men in this fearful time, and cause mercy in the hearts of their captors.
Bring them Your Peace which passes all understanding.
In the Name Above All Names.

they would have a tough time explaining his death after a capture.... That didn't stop them from murdering the Italian hero.

Now it's personal. I heard that some Iraqi civilians were killed in the latest violence, and I've lost the ability to be compassionate for them.

Just a quickie question about your tagline..are Marines REALLY awake for 24 hrs? :)
The more I research Marine history, the more I'm inclined to think they are every bit as tough, maybe even TOUGHER, than the much hyped Navy SEALS. Just my two cents :)

They are also used to track shopping patterns of customers within the store.

I'd love to see a Foce Fabrizio head to Iraq and start kidnapping Al Jazeera reporters. None of this would serve the kidnappers purposes if those pigs were not there to pulicize the atrocities.
To: the Real fifi
Should be Force Fabrizio..
To: mikegi
My prayers go out to all the troops and their families...especially those in captivity.
But I have one question...
Why are they being referred to as 'kidnapped soldiers' and 'hostages' and not prisoners of war?
Are they not prisoners of war? Are we not at war with those who are detaining our soldiers?
