Good scripture! I love the book of Nehemiah...my favorite OT book. I always learn something whenever I read it.
It's good to have the Major home.
Ping
Good news bump!!! Thanks for the ping.
Welcome home!!
Thanks for the ping. This is a good story.
For the first time in about 12 days I heard from my son today. I'll send you all a copy of his email via FReepmail.
Yahhhh!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the good news bump to this story. I remember seeing the orginal posted. I am glad there was a great outcome to this story.
Welcome home Major...hearts & minds ...hearts & minds.
I agree with your film/DVD/VCD on the Majors guide. However, IMO, it would be much more effective to just show him as he is. I am willing to bet that this mans reputation is widely known. To show him as a loyal friend and ally to the Major would speak volumes in their culture. It would show that this Major, and maybe the country he represents, is worthy of loyalty and friendship. It is men like the Major, who have earned this, who will win the Afghanis to our side. Not the politicians. But men (and women) who are considered worthy by their standards. Not ours.
BTTT!!!!!!
$50,000! We were proud of the $250 price we had in I Corps!
The insurgents have no other way to counter humanitarian assistance. They wont help the people because their desire is to maintain the status quo if the people are kept in dire straits all their ills can be blamed on the enemy their government and us.
My best wishes to Major Parker and his team. Sounds like they are doing great work helping the Afghan people. He is a credit to his nation.
Prayers for Major Wes Parker and all who are serving in this most dangerous time. I'm glad that the Major is more than well aware that Afghanistan is not like home.
