We need to bombard him with emails. He is UNAMERICAN!
Yes, Hollywood that is what I said. Put the pc where it belongs in the gutter. You who can not support our President and troops are UNAMERICAN!

FoxFans: This thread is not Fox News-related, but I really had to make an exception for this one... Andy Looney went WAY over the line this time, IMHO.

I think there's a plan here. Another FReeper came up with it in another thread (I forget which one).
The leftist plan is this: Put out all kinds of attack garbage (9/11 Circus Commission, Kennedy Media Rages, Rooney-Tune Charges of Evil War... etc, etc, etc) and keep the conservatives (that's us) focused on these side issues, these sniping guerrilla actions while Public Enemy Number One (John Kerry) gets to stay low, stay out of the news, get rested, keep his head down.
That's the plan. It's cover fire for a weak RAT candidate who can't campaign on his own.
And we're all falling for it.

One indication that not all soldiers in Iraq are happy warriors is the report recently released by the Army showing that 23 of them committed suicide there last year. This is a dismaying figure. If 22 young men and one woman killed themselves because they couldn't take it, think how many more are desperately unhappy but unwilling to die.
Tragedy of College Student Suicide
NEW YORK In a five-week period this fall, three New York University students leaped to their deaths in a deadly spree that shocked the urban campus.
"One indication that not all students in college are happy academics is the article by FoxNews showing that 3 of them committed suicide in just one university last month. This is a dismaying figure. If 3 young men in just five weeks killed themselves because they couldn't take the oppression of liberal indoctrination, think how many more are desperately unhappy but unwilling to die."
Two can play this game, Mr Rooney. Your serve.

Rooney reflects the true views of the Left in this country. It really pains them to hear people say they support the troops. These flower children of the sixties hate the troops and the military. The volunteer force frustrates their ability to characterize the military as victims. Rooney, a WWII vet, is also jealous that the military has regained much of the status it had after WWII. I would ask Rooney one question about his WWII service: Were you a victim?

Rooney is doing the enemy's work as detailed by Freeper PsyOp in his post
Giving Aid and Comfort
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1116136/posts Rooney's questions follow this script
"How do you destroy the enemys morale and will to fight? Its simple, really.
First, you call into question their mission. Make them question why they are fighting. Make them question whether they are doing the right thing. Soldiers unsure of their mission question their orders and hesitate to act when quick action is most necessary. In combat, youre either quick or youre dead.
Second, call into question their leadership. Make them question their commanders skill and honesty. Make them question the motives of the political figures that made the decision to go to war. Soldiers unsure of their leadership may refuse to follow their orders or take direct action against their leadership. In combat, failure to immediately follow orders usually gets soldiers killed.
Third, make them homesick. Point out how miserable they are; remind them how long they have been away from home; how much their loved ones miss them; accentuate the bad and ignore the good; tell them there is no foreseeable end in site (no, you wont be home by Christmas). Homesick and depressed soldiers are not effective soldiers. Ineffective soldiers often become dead soldiers.
Fourth, make it all about them. Point out that the war is not in their personal best interest. Hey, you can lose an eye (or worse), doing that. This last step, converting the soldier back into the psychological equivalent of a civilian, is the most deadly. Soldiers who start thinking only of themselves stop acting as members of a team. A soldier concerned only with his own safety stops watching his buddys back. Unit cohesiveness breaks down. Desertions and insubordination becomes rampant. Casualties mount higher."

I don't listen to him, I don't read him, and I wouldn't know about his comments if it wasn't for FR and Drudge. Rooney's inane comments just reinforce my contempt for the liberal media and the leftie world they live in.

4. If you could have a medal or a trip home, which would you take? I don't know, Andy. Why not ask John F'n Kerry? After all, he did both.

"Treating soldiers fighting their war as brave heroes is an old civilian trick designed to keep the soldiers at it. But you can be sure our soldiers in Iraq are not all brave heroes gladly risking their lives for us sitting comfortably back here at home."
Only an communist elite living here in the United States (and sadly with the privilege of being a US citizen) would have a cynical, hateful outlook such as this. Rooney truly expresses his contempt for the noblest of our citizens - the average Soldier. He / She does not have the wealth and privilege Rooney has, but they volunteer to defend our freedom by risking all they have. Words can't express my outrage at this piece. His article is not a practice of freedom of press, it is an act of aiding and abetting the enemy. I pray the number of my fellow service members who read this will be limited. Good citizens across the country need to boycott Rooney. Let's put this traitor out of business.
