67-69 ....Hill fights all around Khe Sanh...Fort Apache/Hamburger Hill for years.
Cong just poured in with the weapons...while Ho Chi Minh trail got some attention.
In that time window they got yanked back and forth from Quang Tri Prov west to the DMZ......drop in and endure a million rounds of arty at Con Thien.,
Everybody's ear drums were bleeding.
Quang Tri's problem was the trail....the Troopers knew it..but the Gov would not go their in force.
1st Marines ,1st Armored and 1st Cav will prevail.
However..if the roads to Fallujah and other cities are not intensly screened for weapons transfer...it will start up again.
