More recently two very close old friends have turned savage and vicious on our email exchanges using lot of personal insults directed at me.

FWIW, they have probably started to recognize that they are in the wrong. Everyone hates being wrong (at least I know I do) and sometimes the tendency to lash out gets loose.

I have friends who can't wait for Hillary to run for president. When I ask why, they can only respond that she is Democrat and she can win. It's never, what will she do for America, but simply, she's a Democrat.

I even made a bet with one tonight that Kerry won't be the Dem Candidate, that Hillary will force Kerry out, and she scoffed. She was convinced that Kerry is right for America.

It's getting so you can't discuss politics any more. I think it goes back to the Clinton years when Republicans couldn't believe the Democrats fully supported Clinton's antics, and found no fault with the guy.

If the demokRatiks ever succeed in disarming their opposition, inconveniences like Constitutions and elections can easily be dispensed with and the killing can and will begin.

That's a big, big if.

True, but we've grown old, tired and gray..
Our brothers are eternally young and strong -- in our mind...
We can only see them that way, the way they were...

I often wonder if we will be welcomed, when once again we rendezvous...or have they formed new friendships in our absence..

Semper Fi

Or maybe. like them, we'll all be young again.

I just hope they don't have dibs on all the good-llokin' women and that the only C-rats left for us are the ham and mommas.

If it's too long in coming, our honorable niche might be keeper of weaopns, and trainer of youngsters. That's not insignificant.

"This country became permanently divided during the Clinton administration, there are two entirely different major views (as well a a number of lesser ones) about what this country is and what is best for it. Whether as a result of Clinton's tenure, or just that he was in office during the the period that it happened (the division), or both, I don't know. But the division is permanent and irreconcilable."

YUP!!

Those with wisdom said that Clinton would divide the country and set it back decades and do that he has. In spades. This country simply cannot sustain another bout of a president like Kerry.

Be of good cheer however! If Clinton, someone who's really, really good in public in a short term could only generate barely over 40% of a vote, don't expect too much more from a wooden head like John F'n Kerry.

Agree with you it will be event driven.

My prediction - an assasination of a major political figure on the right will ultimately be the trigger. Could be Bush or a future Prez, could be a cultural leader (Limbaugh?) or religious leader, could be the Pubbie winner of a very close and contested election in a 'Rat state.

The left will rejoice, momentarily, until the patriots respond. At that point, all bets will be off.

All of these saints say the same thing, throughout history; when you see another civil war beginning to start in France we'll be on the verge of a huge war.

The Muslims, Prussians, Russians will invade Europe. France, particularly Paris, will be destroyed. England will also be largely destroyed.

The war will be short in duration but a large portion of mankind will perish.

It appears that 'the west' will again come to the aid of France. (ain't that a kick in the pants?)

They also say that a comet will strike the earth and cause huge problems, after the war.
