Fantastic! So now the dems are going to take their talking points from al-Jazeera?
I'm sure that's going to go down well with the US voters. (/sarcasm)

The document said that "some of the more sensational threat reporting" such as an intelligence tip in 1998 that bin Laden wanted to hijack aircraft to win the release of fellow extremists could not be corroborated. Perhaps it is corroborated here:

At the first link, click on the lower left link. A letter was sent to the commission by Stephen Dresch, a former state representative from Michigan (Republican, for those who care) to the 911 commission that I posted on the PDB thread at post #111.

The reporting there fits with their liberal ideology.

And actually, there is information there that suggests substantial information as early as 1996 was either 1) ignored, 2) not followed up on 3) used for other purposes 4)ignored 5)who knows 6)does it really matter 7)go fishing, Whitey, the steelhead are beginning their run.

The missing Scarpa (Yousef) FBI 302s may provide further evidence...of something...but does it matter?

1998 .... hmmmmm ..... and just what pervert was President at that time? More proof that Klinton sat on his hands in the Oval Office. It looks like the DemonRATS are using Bush as the scapegoat to sanitize Klinton's treasonous 8 year record!
To: WhiteyAppleseed
For instance, the timeline mentioned above has this info:
Scarpa reports that his attorney Larry Silverman and the FBI from the New York office had a confrontation pertaining to not allowing Scarpa and Ramzi Yousef to set up a meeting with a loose terrorist cell (four terrorists) that was located here in the United States. This meeting was being set up by Ramzi Yousef for Scarpa's people to meet the terrorists however the FBI did not want to facilitate giving the money that Yousef was requesting in order to set this meeting up.
Scarpa gave FBI Susan Schwartz (alias) a note from Yousef stating something similar to; "In America airplanes are our access to bombs anytime we want them they're our flying bombs." (This statement was made by Yousef during Scarpa questioning him about building massive bombs.) The date may be approximately 2-27-96.
December 8, 1996 (FBI 302 transcribed on 12-16-96)
Yousef stated that Bojinga wanted 5 U.S. Passports with no picture or writing on them and 1 with any picture on it. Yousef advised that Bojinga's people would use all the passports for the hijacking and 1 as a sample to make others. Yousef further stated that the passports are for 1 trip to board the planes to be hijacked.
July 23/24, 1996 (FBI 302 & Handwritten) Ismoil told Scarpa, "I told you this is going to happen." He was also referencing a conversation Scarpa and he had months prior where Ismoil said that "nothing would be left of New York just give it some time."

And was Yousef an Iraqi agent?
To: WhiteyAppleseed
The first paragraph of the letter states this:
Our monitoring of the Commissions hearings indicates that significant intelligence concerning the terrorist threat to the United States obtained between 1996 and early 2001 by various components of the U.S. Department of Justice has not been provided to the Commission.
The entire letter, dated April 5th, this year, can be found through the links above & at post #111 on the PDB thread.

And what I've been posting says that the commission has received information that tells the rest of us that other information is being ignored, much as my posts have been ignored, why, who knows, maybe because of my profile page.
Yet if you or anyone else realized that the information contained in the letter, and the accompanying timeline that was sent (I assume it was sent) to the 911 commission, and that the dates implicate a presidential administration that was in office, before the present administration, then I can only wonder why the posts have been ignored.
What's your take on the letter? Have you seen the timeline that was attached? What do you think about the matter, considering that Yousef is/was believed to be an Iraqi ageent? (You ought to give me some credit, I once was a d----- Yankee, way down in the South, and I loved to kiss Southern bells on the mouth...but I moved back to paradise.)

I don't think that what has come out so much as contradicts what was said, as it does back up the statement that there was a big disconnect in the bureaucracy. Of course, anyone with an IQ over room temperature could have figured that out, without all the partisan politics and destructive behavior. There have been screw up all around. The thing the American people have to ask themselves at this point is, "Who has done more to protect me, and who will do more after November to make I am protected?"
Vote for JF Kerry, and at best our anti-terrorist efforts go back to a pre 9-11 state. At worst, we subjugate ourselves to the UN, as JF Kerry states he would do. Whether you like Bush or not, facts are that his team has taken positive steps in the WoT. Even by the admission of captured terrorists, life has gotten to the point that it is hard for them to operate abroad, let alone within the US.

I'm in full gear - tin foil gear and have covered the dog, cat, and computer as well. So, here goes. With all the stones being cast at Bush and now Hollyweird is making a movie of Dickie Clarke's book, I'm seriously thinking there's a, to paraphrase Shrillary, a vast left-wing conspiracy. A huge one that is meant to do more than just take down Bush but one that is meant to take down the Republican party as well as the USA. There's just to much bs going on to be the usual party disagreements even during an election year. It's been going on far too long and is too vicious for D v R. It's more of a global take down. Whomever it is that's manipulating governments isn't AQ or a handful of two bit 3rd world countries but someone or some country/s much larger and more powerful. Having voiced my concerns, I'll now take the keyboard and myself under the desk.

On May 15, 2001, a caller to the U.S. embassy in the United Arab Emirates warned of planned bin Laden attacks with explosives in the United States, but did not say where or when.As if the WH doesn't get a hundred of such calls every day. So, what are they supposed to do if there's no details of what, where, how, and when?
To: Bad~Rodeo
Will we soon see a John F'n Kerry editorial in the Aljazeera terrorist propaganda?
