Call the EEOC .. file a complaint of wrongful termination. It'll take a while to sort out, but they will investigate.

Corporations are going to have to understand that they exist here because a free people allows them to exist. You've got it bassackwards. In free country citizens are free to engage in any enterprise that can succeed in a free market. They don't need to go to you for permission "to exist." If you don't want to work for them, you are free not to, of course.
Your argument is actually one which the Soviets used for 70 years.

"Call the EEOC"
I kind of suspect that is what he already did (or any one of the other avenues of complaint) and it was just decided against him. I had about a dozen complaints lodged against me in 10 years when I was supervising a Division and handing out discipline. They were filed in Federal, State, County, and City venues. In fact, one person alone filed 9 of those complaints against me.
Every one of them was investigated and I was exonerated (found "innocent" or "not guilty" --or whatever else you want to call it -- of the various things I was accused of) in EVERY SINGLE CASE. The took 3 to 6 months each. This post sounds just like the things that were written accusing me. Each complaint was different, but each one sounded the same. Until I hear more facts, I don't believe it.

He should know exactly why he was firedIn Texas (a non-union state) you can basically fire people for any reason or for no reason without warning.
Its better if you don't give them a reason, because sometimes they'll sue over the reason.

You better go back an read more on the history of the industrial revolution. Your corporate masters once had a free reign and what did they do with it? They held wages down, forced employees to work eighteen hour days, hired 7 year olds to work long hours, had no regard for the environment, paid no sick time. I could go on and on. Finally, we as citizens demanded that there be labor laws and laws for competition. So you see, corporations cannot do anything they want to. We just won't allow it! And in the modern era that also means they should not be allowed to violate the constitutional rights of employees!Nanny-stater nonsense of the first rank. I see you've bought into Howard Zinn's version of American history hook, line and sinker.
What puzzles me is what you're doing on FR. You belong on DU.

The presumption of innocence is a legal concept. Corporations, as private entities, are entitled to hire and fire as they see fit (though not as freely now as they ought, IMO). They have that same problem with us pesky Jews and uppity black folks. But they've got their workarounds.

If you are fired, but your drug abusing arrested cube mate isn't, you have a case. In my experience, it's much more likely to be your drug abusing supervisor.

The race card. How delightful. And, as usual, how completely inappropriate.
Am I supposed to cringe and writhe at this point, or...what?

Well, I've always considered Judism to be a religion more than a race; I might consider someone who likes to keep Jews out of his business to be a bigot but not a racist.
But of course Hitler and Associates considered Judism to be racial as well as religious, and from your comment, presumably you do as well

Well, I've always considered Judism to be a religion more than a race; No, you don't. Not if you're really Jewish. You might pay lip service to the concept, but you don't believe it in your heart of hearts. Ask me how I know.
I might consider someone who likes to keep Jews out of his business to be a bigot but not a racist.
I would consider him to be both, but that doesn't mean I'd want his ass-holery to be illegal.
But you might want to consider the company upour opinions keep.
Hitler also liked opera, representational art and puppies. There are limits on my shame.
