Watching our nation at war, our troops fighting and dying...our President being crucified by the Dems and the elite media...so much of the mob choosing to side with the Shadow that moves through the streets, calling for the appeasement and triumph of Evil...and, thinking about the Messiah, His mission and willing sacrifice...all this makes for a heavy and meaningful, more beautiful and humbling Easter than any I've ever known
You so eloquently put into words what many of us are feeling. Have a blessed weekend.

For me its the solemness of the services. Electric guitars and tamborines and things like that (plus the unstructed nature) really turned me off other services.
But yes you have to be comfortable with the Pastor and church. I live about 1/2 mile away from a church, so I could walk there on sunny CA days, but they are a little 'hippy' for me. So I drive about 10 miles to go to Mass in Latin. I just love the chant! Gives me goosebumps everytime I go.

Hi dixie. I was relatively new as a "hostess" when I did this last year and I remember you commenting how you weren't able to get to church and could do the stations here. That really stuck with me and is one of the reasons I wanted to do this thread again this year. Have a blessed weekend friend.

Beautiful thread!!
Wonderful images.
There is a 15th station though, The Resurrection. This was added by Pope John Paul II, but I don't think all churches have added it, since it's fairly recent.

We will add your brother. I'll let the other "hostesses" know. God bless his service to our country.

By mistake I posted this at Amy's.
It is done! it is finished!
Our sins are atoned for,
God's promise fulfilled by His Son.
The suffering Servant
Righteous Redeemer
our Savior has suffered and won!
Jesus has offered
His life for His people,
His flock, He was given to keep.
He carried their sins
to the end He was faithful
The Shepherd Who died for His sheep.
>
They buried His body,
sealing the grave,
but Jesus triumphantly rose.
Heaven was opened
Satan defeated,
and God draws His children close.
And now we may live
redeemed and forgiven
in thankfulness and joy all our days.
Praising the Son,
praising the Spirit,
and glorify God for His grace.
And as we await
that glorious morning,
when Jesus shall come once again
to gather His sheep
from the ends of the earth.
And no-one is missing
Amen!

Consider the enormity of God's love for us
that He would have His Only Begotten Son
take upon himself
the full burden of our sins - -
