"I call upon the American people to stand beside their brethren, the Iraqi people, who are suffering an injustice by your rulers and the occupying army, to help them in the transfer of power to honest Iraqis."

The American left will stand with you against the American imperialists, Mr. Sadr.

"Somebody" might give a shot at photoshopping a pic of Chappaquidick Ted and Sadr on a stage together, chanting the old Viet Nam slogans. Maybe include Kerry too. Has potential.

If I were an Islamic extremist I would continue to fight to see who takes over in the 05. When Kennedy and his ilk say what they are saying, I believe they are guaranteeing more American troops will die. I strongly condemn this man. If any of us had an old uncle who acted like him we would leave him in his room when company came! Bobby Byrd would be in there with him!

Actually, I smell fear in this guys PR statement. He ought to be saying we're kicking infidel ass, instead he's hoping for a political problem in the US. If we're smart he'll be dead or captured soon.

Teddy faxed an advance copy of his speech so he could have this ready the next news cycle.

You know, Kerry did the same thing with the Vietnam war, why are we surprised that his surrogates would do it this time around.

These people STILL do not realize they aren't dealing with Bill Clinton and the whimpy Democrats, do they?

I got this in an email last night and it kind of sums up the way I, at least, feel about this:

The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying "Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses." She's got base ballbat and she's yelling, "You want a piece of me?"

"I call upon the American people to stand beside their brethren, the Iraqi people, who are suffering an injustice by your rulers and the occupying army, to help them in the transfer of power to honest Iraqis," al-Sadr said in a statement issued by his office in the southern city of Najaf.

"Otherwise, Iraq will be another Vietnam for America and the occupiers," the statement said.

Sadr watched Ted Kennedy on Jazeera. Kerry yesterday said Sadr shouldn't be arrested.

Kerry/Iranian cooperative operation at work.

I like that! Of course, our enemies are all praying for a Kerry victory, knowing he will withdraw our forces.

Kerry and Kennedy should also have warrants out for their arrests. Uncommon treason is common in the Rat party.

Kerry Questions Bush on Iraq Deadline AP ^ | April 6, 2004

"...In the radio interview, Kerry also said it was not wise for U.S. officials to try to arrest Muqtada al-Sadr, an anti-American cleric, without taking other steps to control violence in Iraq. U.S. officials announced an arrest warrant against al-Sadr on Monday, the same day that Bush reaffirmed his commitment to the June 30 deadline. Bush also said al-Sadr is working against democracy in Iraq, but Kerry suggested Tuesday that arresting him would work against efforts to build stability in the country. ..."

Kerry is a Sadr expert all the sudden? Or collaborating in his way with the Iranians he previously solicited support from? What other explanation can there be? I've read plenty of criticism about current affairs, but nobody, NOBODY, advocated not arresting Sadr. ONLY JOhn Kerry.
