It will only take one contradiction for the media to pounce and the dems to call for her head. The build up has been so great and expectations raised so high that Condi is going to be hard put to meet them I blame both sides for this. This commission already has her private testimony and all they that snake Vinste has to do is to trip her up once.

Don't worry about it, she is going to kick ass and take names.

He means that since she already gave closed door testimony for 4 hours, they'll try to trap her in anything that seems to contradict her original testimony.
They won't be able to. And if the commission was legitimate, they'd have already filed charges against Dickless Clarke (you can't dance to his American Grandstand) because he HAS contridicted sworn testimony.

Cable's Fox News Channel, CNN and MSNBC are all covering the hearings, which begin at 9 a.m. ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox are also taking the rare step of pre-empting regular programming to cover Rice's testimony. Rice is expected to appear before the panel for 21/2 hours Check this out

It's my understanding that only 5 members of the 9/11 commission were there for the first interview

Yes, I heard - my first thought was they were doing this so they could pick her testimony apart. Pitiful people. I hope she leaves them speechless!

...CBS News (WCBS/Channel 2) will broadcast from the beginning, and "continue as news warrants," the network said yesterday. Translation: if we feel that Dr. Rice is doing too well, we'll return to regular programming...

My real worry is that even on FR, we have built our expectations for her so high she will never meet them. Can you imagine the pressure she is under given the load she has been asked to bear? It dawned on me last night when the article "Bush's credibility rides on Condi's testimony" showed up from the NYT.

I made the same point in another thread...the expectations are high and it would seem she couldn't possibly meet them.
But then again, she is Condi Rice! Personally, if any member of the commission gets testy I'd love to see her go off! I mean REALLY GO OFF on them!
Sort of the Joe Biden "pay grade" comment!

I prefer an Ollie North moment. His congressional testimony had me cheering like the old Oiler's won the Super Bowl.

It dawned on me last night when the article "Bush's credibility rides on Condi's testimony" showed up from the NYT. That's one example of what the liberals are trying to do. The left for sometime has be trying to make a rift between the CIA and WH and Bush isn't falling for their stunts.
There is a reason why they keep bringing up Nixon .. they want to go after Bush like they did Nixon .. a repeat of history
From all reports, Condi did very well in the first hearing and I have faith she will do find on Thurday

Thank you so much for posting this. I don't have cable and wouldn't have known to set the VCR. ;-)

I loved it! As Rush has consitently pointed out...don't let a witness before your committee unless you know what they are going to say.
North blew them away! And Fawn Hall didn't hurt! lol
Ollie North...a TRUE American Hero! Screw the Dems and their commie loving hatred. My only disappointment was the Reagan people hanging him out to dry, including Nancy.
But he's got the better of them all!
