As long as the radical Islamists are not over here causing trouble I don't much care what they do. Let em kill each other. They always have.

Dear Joe Boucher,

I am sorry to hear of your nephew's injury even as I pray for his recovery and thank him for his service. A niece returned last week after a year in Iraq and a cousin remains in special-ops 'somewhere in the middle east'.

Dear SandRat,

Thank you for your details concerning D-Day and related action. It is good to have been understood after having been wrongly pilloried by Master_seeks & TomasUSMC. They, upon their misreading of my prior post that merely meant to emphasize the blood sacrifice that democracy requires and the RELATIVE limitation of mayhem in Iraq thus far, appear to have thought I was offering supercilious comments. As Jefferson said so perceptively, 'the root of democracy is fed by the blood of patriots'.

To Master_seeks_servant & TomasUSMC,

I am sorry that you so badly misread what I said, but wish you well amid this current battle.
