Ha! My girlfriend calls me the sneeze rooster. Every day, as soon as the sun comes up.
My wife always asks, “you alright?” Her way of staying stop sneezing. ok... in a minute I will.
The last time “The Onion” was funny was in 2008, “Our Dumb World”
What a hoot!

Book is way, WAY, better.
They are all practicing a form of self-censorship...very revealing. I suppose it is because many of them are afraid of principled, reasoning, conservative people discussing their stories and exposing many of those stories for what they are.
Sounds sensible. But it’s more likely based on their belief that people will pay to see their content.
Not even if Hell freezes over tonight.
And as far as Gannett newspapers
They are so broke that they will vanish from this earth in a short period of time. I plan on bidding on some of their equipment in Louisville,Ky soon. They just killed their printing operations here a couple weeks ago. It will feel good to pay pennies on the dollar for some equipment.
Is the list up to date?? A “Last Updated” would be helpful.
A “Last Updated” would be helpful.
************
Updates have no bearing on the list per se. If the Name is on
the list it is banned.
What is the problem with The Washington Standard? I can’t find anything on why articles from it cannot be posted.
Stupid losers.
There are a couple of sites I don’t see on the list that will not post here.
I don’t think Associated Content is in business anymore.
Whatever the list is, I appreciate the moderators. Keeping us legal. Laughs o loo.
Prayers up for Jim.
Nothing worth linking to the Curious Urinal (Louisville) anyway.
The problem is that the rationale for some of the entities on the list is no longer applicable.
For example, there’s a strict ban on posting Gannet material; only links and titles are allowed.
At the time the post was originally made, the Army Times Publishing Company was part of Gannet, having been purchased by them in 1997.
However, Gannet sold off a bunch of properties in 2015; Army Times Publishing Company (now known as Sightline Media Group) was bought by Tegna, after which it was sold a private equity firm named Regent.
So the Gannet prohibition no longer applies to, say, the Marine Corps Times...because they’re no longer owned by Gannet.
The Altoona Tuna-Herald, now there is a mighty voice of journalism, about on the same level as the Braddock Pa rag.t is a few steps behind Braddock on the road to dissolution.
I decided I didn’t want to spend the rest of my live in depositions and court hearings, etc.

Now that I understand.... but one would think that there is enough settled case law already that has dealt with this issue in clear way, no?
How do you get to the “printer friendly” version of an article?
Jim, would it be possible to put a link to this list in a prominent place, like at the top of the “Posting new thread” screen?

This entire thing sounds like an administrative boondoggle that just wastes a lot of time for you but also every poster. I’m wondering if there is a way to avoid this by automating the process (and if some of this is already happening, I apologize)..... It might take some effort and perhaps the time has passed for some of this but let’s assume that we’re back in time at a place before any media complained. On the FreeRepublic homepage, there is a note that says that on this site, anything and everything is allowed to be posted and here are the rules for how FR will do that..... but if an original source doesn’t like how things are being posted (reposted), then they can select a category that is structured around specific posting rules (along the lines of what you posted today). I assume that to a large extent, this is what has happened already. Anyway, with the onus on the complainant media, their organization’s wishes are then filed accordingly and automatically on FreeRepublic so that if any Freeper after that point in time wants to post a link or whatever from that organization, the category and rules for that organization are flagged and immediately come up so that the Freeper doing the posting doesn’t even have to think about it or go search to see what category the media in question is in. All this would take some effort to set up but doesn’t sound all that complicated....
“The sister site Free Dominion in Canada is also undergoing
lawfare attacks. They recently won a copyright decision. “

Do you have details on this? How long ago was this?
Best Reader View is available for those wishing to avoid the mandatory log in.
Ctrl/p is a universal key stroke to get into print the article.
Hope this helps.
