Founded by an Italian. Workers include Ying, Rodriquez, and Benzkofer. Oh, the irony....

While job growth has started to improve recently, more than 3 million jobs have been lost since mid-2000.Those figures are B.S.! Where are those figures coming from Timbuck Two?
My mother used to always say this to me when I was trying to pull a fast one. To this day I still don't know what or where this place is.

It is Timbuktu and is in Mali.

Most of the workers in Radio Flyer's manufacturing division are members of the United Auto Workers union. Rodriguez said that discussions are underway about severance packages for employees who will lose their jobs. Isn't that just like the unions......pay a guy $20.00 per hour to produce $10.00 worth of product, then wonder why the company is moving out.
Unions are way past their usefullness....They are the real problem that the manufacturing industry is facing.

As the Ol' proverb goes:
Tim and I, a campin' went
Next two chicks in a tent
Three of them and just us two
I bagged one....
And Timbuktu

Jeez, I can't wait to hear how the transfer of these jobs to China will affect our national security. Three-hundred-thousand new jobs created last month and the protectionists and democrats (hard to tell the difference) keep playing the same old song.
To: sarcasm
The destruction of American manufacturing jobs is perfectly acceptable to a large number of people on this web site. When the American military has to buy all of its weapons overseas and our enemies won't sell them to us, we'll find out how great is that plan.
It is OK to have your friends and neighbors thrown out of work and without income until you have to support them or, in desperation, they break into your house while you are at work.
That is one problem with dog-eat-dog not normally discussed in economic textbooks. You'll come home and find your dog has been eaten.
I'm glad we Republicans aren't heartless people who don't give a damn about whether or not our friends, relatives and neighbors are without any way to make a living. Such a position might give our Democrat opponents a lot of ammunition with which to win elections.

Three hundred thousand jobs created? What impact will these jobs have on family per-capita income? If I create a million jobs paying minimum wage, would you be comforted by that? Can you support your family with a minimum wage job?
Job numbers are completely misleading. Family income numbers are the ones heading south, figurately and literally.

figurately=figuratively

Three hundred thousand jobs created? Psst, they were all part-time jobs.

AMEN ! I was on one discussion thread here yesterday, and the best the "free trade" advocate could come up with was a correction of my phraseology. (If you can't argue logically, attack the opponent personally - a good old "liberal" trick,by the way.)
I think you'll find some of the "free trade" advocates here are just folks who haven't gotten their pink slips yet.

Huh???? Radio Flyer wagons & United Auto Workers union?? Why doesn't that make sense to me? Now maybe the Steel Workers union, or Sheetmetal Workers union, but Auto Workers?
Wait... I have it. Wagons and autos both have wheels!

Non-union workers can produce high-quality Honda autos and motorcycles in this country but Radio Flyer's UAW people can't make a kid's wagon. Makes perfect sense to those who want you "on the dole."

Please explain to Me what food service has to do with building cars!.

The destruction of American manufacturing jobs is perfectly acceptable to a large number of people on this web site...Wrong. There are however a good many who realize that times change and you either adapt to the change, or you're left behind to complain and collect your relief check.
Here's a puzzle for you: when the early American settlers left the "comfort" of the eastern cities and headed west, what was waiting for them - a cushy job? Do you think they had ANY guarantees?
Hey! All you protectionists; overcome, adapt, and for your own sakes, reach down, grab your bootstraps and pull them up - yourself.

Oh, and if you want to blame somebody, blame the unions, who INSIST on getting 20-50% more wage than the job is worth.

If job numbers are so misleading then why do those who oppose outsourcing continue to rail against "two-million jobs lost?" My friend, you can't have it both ways. You can't pick and choose only those results that favor your position.
