Get a grip. This will be dealt with effectively. We're all enraged, but it's not destroying our lives.

We are all enraged. My newspaper had the pics of the victims hanging from the bridge. We canceled the newspaper and wrote the editor. Made us feel a teeny tiny bit empowered.

You are letting yourself get way too emotional over this. Next to the WTC this is far easier to take. We're going to keep going after them, no matter what atrocities they commit, until each and every one of them is dead....dead....dead.
These are warped savages and they must be eliminated. But we are NOT going to sink to the level of Saddam and wipe out an entire town because of a group of disgusting barbarians. We're going to seek out the guilty and we are going to exterminate them. If we destroy the innocent along with the guilty we become what we are fighting.
Now take a deep breath and get ahold of yourself. This is going to be a long battle and if you exhaust yourself this early on you're going to miss all the fun at the end.

"When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle."
That quote from Edmund Burke in "Thoughts on the Cause of Present Discontents" has, in general use, come to be delivered as, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
Which ever version you prefer, the message is the same: evil will, therefore good must.

Let your heart not be troubled.
For almost 48 hours now, very capable people are drawing up Op-Oders to pacify the spot of cancer.
When the 'pacification' is accomplished, we will feel vindicated and proud.

One of the things that will help, is to impress upon the Dept. of Defense, that our people need armored vehicles NOW.
The Up-Armored Humvee is apparently a joint venture of AM American General and O'Gara-Hess.
O'Gara-Hess has an American-based sales management HQ in Fairfield, Ohio.
Perhaps we can accelerate the production of Up-Armored Humvees and accelerate their delivery to our troops.

How can people be so cruel? It's the reality of evil.
That which is good must be defended.

where can I find a link to the appropriate place to make a donation? If you can direct me I will look into it ASAP.

I think you are falling into their trap. The emotions of hate you display is the same as the emotion of hate they live under.
We are at war and this can and will be dealt with. We do not and should not go to war based on hate.
Our enemy, Islam, behaves like barbarians. That's what their religion and culture teaches them from birth. That's not how our mothers brought us up. We do need to teach them a lesson, but not because we hate them.

That's exactly right.
Funny thing is, armored cars were used by Winston Churchill to subdue the place back in the 1920s. I guess we forgot somewhere along the way what works.

Well, you ask a simple question - "How can people be so cruel." The answer is simple - they are trained to be exactly that way. Despite what the apologists for is-slime would have you believe, that religion has nothing to do with peace or love.
Now the problem you face is challenging - hatred is certainly appropriate in this case, but one must be careful, for such emotions can be self destructive. A deepening of the affection for, and loyalty to, our own culture can be more positive.
The culture war between the West and is-slime is only just begun. The West needs you to live and work for victory.

Hating one's enemy one is trying to kill is a time honoured tradition where I come from.
It's even taught by mommies down here.
Shall we sing Kumbaya or We Shall Overcome Gene?

you said;
"I know they want to and will,"
and while I agree with the first part, I am ALSO concerned that they "will not," at least not enough.
this is an underlying fear for all of us.
what if we don't do enough?
what if we fail?
loss of confidence.
shame at not preventing this act.
If and when we take demonstrative and devastating action, our confidence will be restrored. I am surprised we have done nothing. WE are probably reassessing whether we can do what needs to be done, and still turn over the government in a few weeks... per our plan.
or if not, we face more international criticism... or higher oil prices.
I hope we act soon to restore Iraqi confidence in our resolve to stay the course. They have to be wondering if we are going to cut and run... we aren't, but they are wondering.

I believe. I know I believe in my president and as I "get a grip" (as was pointed out from another) I'll know in my heart it will be done.

I Believe that your Feelings about this event are--pretty much--universal, including The President & His Staff.
The Problem is, HOW do we IMPRINT the people of Iraq with SUCH an aversion to this behavior that it will--Forever More--be Anathema.
We are Trying to "Civilize Barbarians," who "Worship a "Death-Cult" & believe that "Human Life" has Little or no Value.--A Daunting Task!
NO WONDER these "Benighted People" have NEVER KNOWN "Self-Rule!"
We are attempting to drag an 11th Century Culture into the 21st Century.
If we Succeed, it will be one of the GREATEST SOCIOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATIONS in Human History.
I Think that the Barbarians in Falluja Want us to respond in Barbaric Fashion--to prove we are Like Them--Barbarians.
The Challenge is to respond as a "Civilized Nation" would respond.
We Have To Dictate the Parmeters of Behavior--otherwise, They Win.
