Ah, yeah, foul play? A confluence on actuarial factors, who knows? We'd better get a handle on it, regardless.

Damn she's such a pretty one. I live near NAS Oceana and see them and the FA/18s all the time. Hate to see her being phased out.

We're going to have to start charging these pilots for the planes they crash. Dock their paychecks a mere $20 million or so.

There's been three F/A-18's dropped, and now a Tomcat, in, what, four days? Pretty darn close to "daily".

I'd only heard about one F18. I guess it *is* time to panic, then.

Hats off to the two Irishmen who prescued the downed flyers!

Well, I don't advocate PANIC, but I think the rate of loss should be raising an eyebrow or two.

Four fighters in a week by my count.
North Carolina, off South Carolina, Pacific Ocean and Tennessee.
In less than 7 days.
No fatalities, thank Heavens, but lots of new people "assigned to desk duty" tfn.

Rosenberg and Greenman, employees of Science Applications International Corp. who work for the Space and Naval Warfare Command's marine mammal program, were finishing a training session with several sea lions when the accident occurred. Wonder what these two 'irishmen' are 'training' sea lions to do?....dont think its bouncing beach balls off their noses or playing tunes on bicycle horns...for fish...

"Well, I don't advocate PANIC, but I think the rate of loss should be raising an eyebrow or two."I, of course, personally warned President Bush and Ms. Rice about this, but did they care? Did they listen to me?
No, I was demoted and made a sous chef in Treasury. They'll rue the day!
