The liberal media REALLY did a number on Bush I. IMO Bush partly dug his own grave with the "Read my lips" broken promise but he really vetoed a lot of pork-barrel bills, eliminated the Vietnam syndrome of our military and the economy was booming six months before the election.
We can also thank dog-eared Ross Perot for the Xlinton dictatorship as well. There are rumors that Xlinton and Perot met in Texarkana, TX to discuss derailing the Bush I presidency. There already was no love lost between Bush and Perot.

Rooters managed to get it's typical spin in. And they wonder why Bush 1 criticizes the media? I wish the heck more politicians would criticize the media.
I never pass up an opportunity to....

George H.W. Bush is an honorable man and a great American.

Yes he is- but also a crappy, tax-raising,non-conservative, President. Closer to Clinton on policy than Reagan. Too bad.

I remember that well. He called his father "the finest man I ever knew."
I loved it.
It was so heartfelt and yet so in your face.

The reporter is too stupid to understand that this editorial garbage is exactly what President Bush is talking about.

Exactly! What makes me mad is that the writer(s) won't even put their name on this article.

Iraq has been torn by violence and instability since a U.S.-led invasion last year toppled Saddam in the hunt for his alleged weapons of mass destruction. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even with the known difficulties in Iraq with suicide bomber/killers and Islamic terrorist die-hards, Iraq's murder rate is lower than that of many major US cities, which have been "torn by violence and instability" since the government "invasion" mislabeled the War On Poverty (really the War on the Stable Low-Income Family) began in the mid-60s.
I really detest the far-lefties at Reuters, who couldn't write a straight hard-news story if the survival of the planet depended on it. May their financial difficulties continue and accelerate.

You going?
Don't intend to..... I don't envy the person to whom he'll be coming down with... Lots of responsibility riding with him. The following is a shot of his 1977 jump

The Bush's have their priorities straight and know the nobility within man. The Democrats seem to see only the evil because they know their own hearts and they are dark.
The Democrats today are malignant narcissists.
