I see this as a positive to get out the vote. Of course, GW & the very wise Karl Rove have all of the answers to how they can include all of these types under one tent & call it a positive. Have you heard any of these Arabs speaking out for America? All the way to Afganistan when the ENEMY IS WITHIN.

...Ribhi Mustafa is a swing voter who has already swung [to Kerry]... This would make a GREAT commercial for Bush/Cheney.

Dude. You
were suspects. You may still
be suspects. So condemn terrorism already and carry on.

Arab 'rats will be offset by changes in the Jewish vote.

This is scary. Arab Americans could determine who wins the election. No they cannot. This article overestimates their numbers 5 times over. Bush visited Michigan Arabs twice, and Sununu 3 times, and promised the moon. It meant nothing, he lost Michigan despite all the hoopla.
To: rogueleader
Majority of those "fifth columnists" voted for Bush in 2000.
This particular "fifth columnist" among others voted for George Bush in 2000, Dole in 96, and Bush Sr in 88 and 92. Just like most Arab/Muslim Americans. And in spite of some breathtakingly stupid actions on part of this Bush, probably still going to vote for him.
Because while Bush makes mistakes overseas, Kerry will make life right here unbearable.

No disrespect intended to either your post or your opinion, but let them vote for whomever they want. We can do nothing about it. It's always going to be Bush's support of Israel, or that mean ol' Patriot Act, and on and on.
In the war against terror Israel is our strong ally, and we must continue to support them.

Arab 'rats will be offset by changes in the Jewish vote. And then some...far more Jewish voters in Floriduh. But its just a tell-tail sign that the Arab community is harboring anti-American feelings...I will NEVER forget the Arabs/muslims dancing in the streets in Paterson & Jersey City, on 9/11.

About the only thing the local Muslims can do legally is continue to deny Bush Michigan and New Jersey (as someone else pointed out, Bush lost Michigan in 2000; he also didn't carry Jersey).

I would hope that you're right but it seems that the Jewish population tends to vote Democrat. Many of them are out of touch with the times and seem to believe that FDR is still running for office.

Kerry led Bush 54 percent to 30 percent among the estimated 550,000 Arab American voters Yeah, and I bet Saddam Hussein would lead even more among the same voters. Saddam ain't running, but they will take what they can get.

Thank you for your patriotism in the face of overwhelming hostility. It is sad that many FReepers buy into the lie that moderate Islam doesn't exist and that all Muslims are terrorists. I have said this once and I'll say it again:
"Believe me when I say "there are moderates" and "not all muslims want to kill americans and try to subjugate the world". I have Islamic friends who don't at all celebrate the attacks and one personaaly said that "Bin Laden is going to hell. [People] ask where are the moderates? Well, where are the moderates in Nazi Germany? In Rwanda? Bosnia? Puritan New England? The slave states? The southern states? They are there. In silence and under fire. It is said that Arafat killed more Palestinians than Israelis. Those are our opposition against the UnIslamic fascists. They are there. But the media, in their ongoing efforts to destroy America, portray the fascists as the real face of Islam hoping to get a negative reaction from mainstream America. The next thing you know, hate speech and crime laws, tolerance sessions, and all sorts of PC liberalism BS will emasculate our response, censor conservatives and patriots for being Islamophobes, give the Mullahs free reign, and keep the moderates in dungeons or graves. When you say nuke the Islamic world, you are playing right in to their hands."
Keep the faith and God bless you.

Exactly. Do the math: 550,000 divided by four states (assuming they are equally distributed)=137,000 per; then times the 8% difference since 2000=10,000 per.
Then, on top of that, two of these states Bush lost last time, and he won Ohio by more than the 10,000 and, if you count the 65,000 Florida voters who (polls say) turned away after the state was "called" for Gore, well, I don't see much impact here.
Moreover, if most of these people (as our fine interview subject is) are Dems to begin with, they are already being counted in Kerry's poll #s.
