I've printed out the article and will read it while waiting for my daughter. I'll also forward the article to Assemblyman Ray Haynes. Are you familiar with Ray?

Per JimRob's request on FR: Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.
My comment on an earlier post: If you cannot discuss the article in a decent way, then we have nothing to discuss.

Schwarzenegger January Interview with Univision regarding driver's licenses for illegals:
Schwarzenegger: We are right now in the middle of working very hard with Senator Cedillo. My staff and his staff. Everyone is working together. And we are absolutely positive that we will come up with a great bill. With his help and with my team's help, I think we will work it out. So there's, uh, really a good move forward.
Interviewer: How would you deal with more conservative members of the legislature...?
Schwarzenegger: Again, it's one of those things where we all have to get together and see that this is a good idea and this is the way to move forward. So, I am talking to my Republican friends all the time about it, and also to my Democratic friends. We will do it.
And this link that you obviously have not seen

Why do you have a bug up your butt over Arnold? First, he is not drawing a salary as governor. Second, he is paying for the chartered flights out of his own pocket. Third, the hotel cost of $125 a night which is one giant bargain for a suite of rooms in a Hyatt is being paid for out of campaign funds.
For openers, the state is saving close to a couple of hundred thousand dollars on salary. Then, even if you pay $125 a day for a hotel suite, that amounts to $3,750 a month. The state has to supply the governor with housing. You can't rent a decent sized house for only $3,750 a month in Sacramento.
So, what is left? His security contingency? Guess you expect him to take a bullet for you.

Let me know when you move to California.
Until then try minding your own business.
Unless you want to pay my state income taxes. And that has what to do with the discussion? So far, Arnold isn't costing you a salary, for travel, for lodging. And you are bitching because he might, like previous governors?

"Per JimRob's request on FR: Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts."
I have not used profanity, personal attacks and/or racism...
"personal attacks?" like you who accused me of "hating" RINOld(laughable)
and someone else who questioned my "reading comprehension"...you guys just can't debate facts so you, like the liberals, make accusations you can't back up. LOL
I back up my facts with documentation. You Ahnold fan club memebers just make personal attacks. Get over yourself!

That $175K salary, charter flights and hotel rooms that we have not had to pay for up until now is chump change compared to what the bond issue and lack of a balanced budget are going to cost.
Read the article in post#19 and WAKE UP!

Trust me, tiggy. Kelly hates Arnold. Go look through his posting history and calculate the proportion of his posts as follows:
1) those that bash Arnold; and
2) posts saying anything else whatsoever.
I'll betcha the ratio of 1:2 is at least even.

You know if you're going to talk about me at least have the decency and balls to address me when you do it
Furthermore you don't know me either so to make personal accusations that I "hate" someone is moronic but I just consider the source.

Let me help you out, sweetie. Essentially, your attitude is that of a pissed-off toddler. It's not particularly persuasive, and it demonstrates an inability on your part to have an even exchange of ideas, as Mrs. T. so politely tried to do.
To: kellynla
I laugh at you. Again. And I am hardly talking about you behind your back: my post was right below several of yours on an active thread. I owe you no courtesies -- nor anything else, for that matter.

Kelly, you have chosen to remain on a path of acidity and rude behavior on this thread. I'm not the only freeper noticing it and calling you on it.
As I said before, if you cannot discuss the article in a decent way, then we have nothing to discuss. I meant it. It is impossible to discuss issues with one who insists on spewing venom. I will not waste my time and energies on such a person as yourself.

Did any of you read the original article as posted?
I think you may have missed a bit of it
The California Highway Patrol, which provides protection for the governor and his family even when he's not doing state business - about a dozen troopers were on his Ohio trip to attend the "Arnold Classic" bodybuilding expo, for example - is spending more on security than it did under Davis.
"He attracts a lot of people and there are extra responsibilities for us as a result," Tom Marshall, the CHP spokesman, said.
Marshall would not comment specifically on security measures, but CHP Commissioner D.O. "Spike" Helmick said more is spent on Schwarzenegger because he's the first governor in quite some time to have young children who also need security.
I shan;t make reference to anything in the last paragraph. Children are a blessing, as you know full well, Miss Tiggy. ;-)
As to kellynla, He is a bit on the exciteable side (and he knows it) :-), , but he is also a California business owner and knows first hand what has been done to too many already in this state by career politicos with warped agendas, and he is not alone in questioning nor seeking to retain the right to question any elected official of any party that has a direct influence over this state's well-being.
