Editor:
Your editorial cartoon showing Condi Rice is quite confused. Are you telling your viewers there is no distinction between a national security adviser appearing for a television or radio interview and appearing before a congressional committee under oath? Certainly you know and understand the difference. You are assuming that the editor has a basic understanding of the Constitutional doctrine of "separation of powers".
That's a lot to assume nowadays.

Oh, you don't expect these idiots to understand the Constitutional concept of "separation of powers", do you?

The cynical me says they understand the issue but are lazy or purposefully distorting the issues. But, I might be inclined to go with your version.

Definitely not the same thing the Clinton admin did.
Bush claiming privilege for reasons of national security following the worst terrorist attack in the history of man while the enemy is still in our midst.
Clinton claim privilege over a conversation with his wife about extra-marital hummers in an effort to keep the world from finding out Hillaryreally wears the pants in that family.
