I agree. With all the cuts the Cleveland City Schools are having to make due to budget shortfalls I cannot believe that this won't get ugly once it gets some legs.

And since I'm faxing the article to the local talk radio folks I'm hoping it will. Get ugly that is.

This will be another aspect of the failure of Bush to defend our southern border against invading illegal criminal alien Mexicans. Most are relatively quiet and work hard to loot money from the US economy to send it back to Fox. But, when things go bad for them, when, for example, black racist thug leaders take on the issue that criminal Mexican illegal displace young blacks in the job market, and illegals are unemployed, they will become restive. This is an issue that will only get worse. WE MUST TAKE CONTROL OF OUR BORDER AND START THE PROCESS OF RETURNING THE MEXICAN LEECHES TO THEIR HOMELAND!!!

Education spending is up higher than ever before, seems we need a national audit of education spending, including all those costly provisions hidden in UNION contracts!

The waste in the larger schools sytems is absolutely shocking.

The large systems are run just like political machines, friends are rewarded, enemies are punished and anyone who points out waste to the public is fired.

Someone needs to tell Christina she is in charge of taking hold of her own dreams. They are not funded on the backs of her fellow citizens. Plenty of us have worked our butts off to get what we have without help from family or taxpayers. Her problem is not that her dream isn't taxpayer funded, her problem is she has never been told that she is in charge of making things happen for herself and that things are not beyond her reach just because she can't rape her fellow taxpayers for the money.
BTW, wonder if Christina holds that sign up to her parents(assuming she has two) and harass them for the funding for her "dream"? After all, they have a hell of a lot more responsibility for making her dreams happen then do any elected official or her neighbor's parents via taxes.

If this was Anti-Abortion protestors on the sidewalk the police would be there in seconds. In fact that has occurred numerous times. The protestors were not allowed within a block of the abortionists house in Wichita.

The Washington Post story on this described law enforcement arriving, but then implied they "talked" to everyone and Karl Rove agreed to talk to the protesters, which he did for "about two minutes." I cannot believe these people weren't just hauled off and arrested. What gives them the right to swarm private property, bang on the windows, etc.? They should have been arrested immediately. Can you imagine if these had been pro-life protesters at someone's house?

It just beat the Hell out of me how any of us on FR learned how to do the 3 R's or type or anything without all this extra money that seems to be needed every stinking year.

I was in school from 1951 til 1972 or so; school was relatively inexpensive and the results were pretty damn good. I guess that was before the '60's activists got into the hierarachy of the educational institutions and began making things more "correct".
