Thanks for the clarifiction...come to think of it I did know that hurricane was used in the Eastern Pacificbecause I believe I now remember seeing it used before.

I am also familiar with Typhoons as my Dad was in the big one just before the end of WW II.

I wasn't familiar with the exact location of the cyclone usage though.

I am worried because their home and buildings weren't built with this kind of disaster in mind probably. There could be more devastating destruction than would happen here with a category 1 because of our building codes in areas that regularly get hurricanes.

Well, he didn't do it very effectively considering he sent the storm over the least populated region he could have chosen. Anyhow, I won't believe he's serious until I see Amsterdam at the bottom of the North Sea.. ;^)
