I had to read this twice to really understand it.
But it's even worse than we thought. If this is true, there is NOTHING these people will stop at. Nothing.
PhiKapMom- What do you make of this? Do you think the RNC is on top of all this?

Norquist points to direct evidence of election tampering by the EU in which they are purposefully applying high tariffs to U.S. goods that are received from key electoral states in the upcoming presidential election in the United States. He added that it appears the strategy by Kerry and the EU is to keep the American economy sagging and unemployment rising. "It's official," Norquist exclaimed in a press release. "Europe is actively participating in the U.S. election and is collaborating with the Kerry campaign."

"But for a challenger to look to Europe to inflict pain in the United States is taking Machiavellian power plays to a level never before seen in American politics," Norquist observed. This ain't yer father's Democrat party.

This could be a way to explain to the unemployed and laid off a reason for American job losses--the Euro-socialists are trying to damage the American economy, and as they try to do so, help out their big friend Al-Kerry in the November election.

I said on the other thread that if the EU is indeed trying to swing our election than that is just short if not a act of war IMHO.

I have always thought and said, "the dems are more interested in being elected than in the welfare of the United States". Tragically, I also believe that many dem leaders hope for deaths in Iraq and elsewhere only to further their politcal agenda.
If this is true, it is a sad day. I must believe that individual Americans will see this for what it is, regardless of the spin on CBS. I have some faith in our common sense. I have to believe that Kerry would get a punch in the nose if he got into a crowd of real Americans.

I'm generally optimistic, but some days it seems like we're swimming against the tide.
Do you know anything about this Norquist? The name rings a bell...
I'm going to go google his name.
My husband is all into the March Madness so I have time. LOL

He sure sounds like a legit guy when I googled his name and if Newt vouches for him, that's good enough for me:
Mr. Norquist, a native of Massachusetts, has been one of Washington's most effective issues management strategists for over a decade.
Mr. Norquist is president of Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), a coalition of taxpayer groups, individuals and businesses opposed to higher taxes at both the federal, state and local levels. ATR organizes the TAXPAYER PROTECTION PLEDGE, which asks all candidates for federal and state office to commit themselves in writing to oppose all tax increases. To date, President George W. Bush, 211 House members, and 38 Senators have taken the pledge. On the state level, 8 governors and 1279 state legislators have taken the pledge.
Mr. Norquist also:
- Serves on the Board of the National Rifle Association of America.
- Serves on the Board of the American Conservative Union.
- Writes the monthly politics column for the American Enterprise Institute Magazine.
- Served as a Commissioner on the Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce.
- Wrote the book Rock the House - an analysis of the 1994 elections, which has been translated and published in Japanese.
- Served on the National Commission on Restructuring the Internal Revenue Service.
In the past, Mr. Norquist has served as:
- Economist and chief speech-writer, U.S. Chamber of Commerce (1983-1984).
- Campaign staff on the 1988, 1992, 1996 Republican Platform Committees.
- Executive Director of the National Taxpayers' Union.
- Executive Director of the College Republicans.
In the words of former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Grover Norquist is "the person who I regard as the most innovative, creative, courageous and entrepreneurial leader of the anti-tax efforts and of conservative grassroots activism in America . . . He has truly made a difference and truly changed American history."
P.J. O'Rourke says, "Grover Norquist is Tom Paine crossed with Lee Atwater plus just a soupcon of Madame Defarge."
Mr. Norquist holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, both from Harvard University. He lives in Washington, DC.
