I remember thinking: Hooray for the Congressional Black Caucus!!
They may have shamefully defended The Impeached Rapist, but here, they are at least showing some backbone!

Just thought I'd let you know that they cleared 3 more prospective Jurors today. However, one woman who is a school teacher declared that "She would quit her job to serve on this jury"!! YIKES!! I wonder which side wants to scratch or keep her? I would think she might be risky for either side. I've never heard anyone make such a statement!!
To: Devil_Anse
It's all very self serving i'm sure. If Michael were to hand them a million dollars tomorrow, there'd be kissing and hugging all over the place.
To: uncitizen
Well, I don't know about that!
(I'm sure they'd ask for at least TWO million!)

Boy, does she sound like a wacko! I think the defense will want HER.
Hey, is there anything new from Psyche's Knot?
To: Devil_Anse
I haven't heard anything from him for a little while now Dev. And I had the same thought as you on that prospective juror. That is an EXTREMELY bizarre statement from someone being questioned about serving on a jury isn't it? I doubt either side will be comfortable with her and neither of them should imo.

btw - I wonder where Marty is these days???
To: Devil_Anse
Those gangsters always do have a way of tracking 'em down. LOL!
To: Canadian Outrage
I've never heard of such a thing either! ROFL.

Jury pool reaches 17 potentials
By Brian Anderson
CONTRA COSTA TIMES
REDWOOD CITY - Officials moved a step closer to seating a jury in the Scott Peterson trial Monday, qualifying two additional prospective jurors for the final phase of the selection process.
After seven days of questioning possible jurors, Judge Alfred Delucchi has tallied a pool of 17 San Mateo County residents from which to pick a final jury panel. They hope to find about 50 more.
The two most recent additions -- an employment recruiter and a high school teacher -- said they had heard about the case, but could be fair. One, the teacher, said she had even mentioned to someone that she believed Peterson might have killed his wife, Laci, 27, and the couple's unborn son.
The move prompted prosecutors to challenge the woman. But Delucchi noted the woman also had said Peterson might be innocent and that she agreed to set aside any prior thoughts. She was asked to return May 13 for the final stage of jury selection.
Also qualifying was a headhunter for Bank of America Securities. She said in her questionnaire that police could be overly zealous in their arrest of someone in a high-profile case. But she said Monday that she would treat officers called to testify during the trial with the same fairness as everyone else.
Questioned about her ability to be a judge of the facts, the woman said she had experience on the other side of things.
"I'm Asian," she said, adding that she grew up in a world of white people. "I've been judged all my life. My parents were Chinese. They lived in Taiwan. I know what it's like to be judged."
Jury selection is scheduled to continue this morning. Delucchi said as many as six people could qualify today, a number that he pointed out may yet be elusive.
"If we get three," he said before adjourning for the day, "we may be lucky."

Don't know! But I'm sure a lot of them will come back if/when they ever get to testimony in this thing! Let's see... May 17... Will they make it on time?
To: Velveeta
Yes, gangsters. And if Mikey doesn't pay, I hope the gangsters do to him what gangsters do to people who don't pay.
To: Jackie-O
Thanks so much Jackie.
It's moving right along.
SP's time is drawing closer...
