Thank you Bud Grant.
isn't his real name Harry Peter Grant?...
I recall Don Merideth mentioned this in the EARLY days of MNFootball

Give em hell, Bud!
I've always liked Bud Grant.
There were many times during the 70's when I wish he was with Green Bay.

No way! Bud is a Minnesotan. He'd never do that!

Dang, I'm surprised to hear Bud Grant is still alive and kicking, but that he's kicking lib-media ass for US troops in the Middle east, well that's just too much!!!
To: Spruce
NO way... Agreed!
The Vikings just wouldn't be the same without him, and haven't been.
He was a great coach, with a lot of great Minnesota games in Bloomington.
I miss that stadium, and the town.

There used to be steam pipes under the old Met turf along the 50 and the hash marks. Bud would keep you off the pipes on offense and keep the Vike offense on the pipes. Too bad nobody had the guts to play a Superbowl at the Met. Bud and the Vikes were a nightmare at the Met.

Minnesota always held a mystigue at the Met, like the Packers at Lambeau.
Just isn't the same playing inside a dome. I miss the crisp, clear cold games held at the Met.
My brothers and I would brave the same biting cold in Wisconsin, playing foorball, after watching the Packers play in frigid temps in Minnestota.
Indoor games will never inspire anyone to play football outside.
Plus you can never get our boys in blue to do any flyovers at the Metrodome.

I feel much better now. As you should. My personal goal as a football fan is to make it abundantly clear to as many Packer fans as possible that there is no .. repeat, no .. "tundra" anywhere in Wisconsin.
Carry on. :)

Actually the new field is fine by me. My seats are a little better ( I sit right on the East sideline south end zone) and I have a great view. Quick entrance exit and bathroom a short distance away. My only difficulty is finding street parking because of all the new neighborhoods under construction and non-residentency parking exclusions. I hate parking in lots.
As far as weather goes this year was nothing no rain no snow no real cold. The worst night of my life was the MOnday night Halloween game against Green Bay 35 degrees with a constant driving rain in my face and Green Bay kicking da Bears up and down the field at will. 99 yard td pass from Favre AND a 35 yd 20 minute run by him for a td.
Underwear was soaked it was so wet that night.

They still have a bonehead for quarterback and Moss is an explosion waiting to happen. I am not worried about the Vikes since we do beat them on occasion unlike the frickin' Pack.
