They only imagine that they are Conservatives. If you were to ask them, they'd all tell you how they are all oh SO much more Conservative than thee and me.

Your observations and conclusions are correct. It's a dreadful shame that your nic was purloined and used there.

"Government spending has been high forever. Illegal immigration has been going on for a long time.

Problem is, many of us expect the trend to be reversed instead of accelerated with THIS President.

Yes, that is a small problem. LOL.....

Joe, you have every right to make illegal immigration your line in the sand. Others have the right not to see it as a big deal. None of us, as both of us have done, have the right to make fun of those that disagree with either stance.

What the heck is up with Orrin Hatch, anyways?

He has to know that, even were he to publicly fellate Jesse Jackson on the Washington Mall at 12 o'clock noon on Martin Luther King Day, his DREAMed ACT wish for a nomination to the Supreme Court will still be filibustered into submission by the leftists.

Get yourself a real image host. Be more creative and never seek the guidance of others. This thread was no surprise, I saw it building up over at LP for some time.

Tex, I heard your credibility hit bottom all the way from California on this one.

"I'd like just ONE Freeper to explain to me why the GOP's policies of accelerating socialism and a obliterating U.S. sovereignty is acceptable?"

well maybe because that is a bit overblown and no one can argue against such hyperbole. Ya think?

For political advisors we shall hire all eight year olds and fourteen year olds? Yes, they will be far better MEN than any sitting US Senator, but still ... You make too big a claim for being an expert, and where is your logic, besides that of a used car salesman's "Trust Me!"

In New York City they have Conservative and Liberal Parties (among others) that DO wield some sway in the candidate selection process -- in Israel they have a multi-patry system which produces a lively combination of personality and idea-based politics, where the ideas of each party are more adhered to reliably.

In a multi-party system you still have the eternal battle of insider-versus-outsider yet each party holds its ideals and throws in ad-hoc to the outsiders or the insiders, rather than becoming a big-tent ideals-mean-nothing party.

Sincere question: If someone disagrees with you, do you consider it harassment?

I agree that it is easy to take things personally when there are strong views on both sides. In my particular case I expressed no views at all about Bush, I merely pointed out that Kerry will scoop up the sympathy vote with the active collusion of the media. I was attacked as a Kerry supporter by a newbie who can only be fairly described as a bushbot. He didn't recognize that my tagline was satire and told me I should change it. It was insulting but I didn't insult him back in any way.

Let me ask you a sincere question: do you Bush supporters ever take it upon yourselves to police your own? When newbie Bush supporters have nothing to contribute except talking points and insults do you call them on it?

Many of us grew up in a more conservative era, where our nation and our freedoms were first and foremost.

It's been a while since the victorian era. How old are you?
