Traders Are Not Traitors (Outsourcing is good for America--and the world.)

I just have one obsevation, if a company has not loyalty to this country, its only interest are profit and its shareholders. This is one of the main arguements of the free traitors. Then why should I have loyalty to anything other then profit and myself? When you say that out sourcing is harming you they call you by various insults but aren't you doing the same as the multinational corporations looking after yourself.

But if you want to look after yourself by invoking government force against your competitors in the marketplace, it is not really the same as looking after yourself (or your corporation) by trying to produce a cheaper good or service.

Corporations in the US and other countries routinely have governments use is power for their means. Whether it is adjust tax policy, a subsside, or a tariff to protect markets. See steel tariff. I am just saying that I want the government to start setting economic policy in a way that benefits the middle class first.

I agree corporations do that routinely, and I am totally opposed to it. By all means let's get rid of corporate welfare, targeted tariffs like the steel fiasco, export subsidies, etc.. But I don't think more government meddling will help the middle class in the long run.

All I am saying Is I want economic policy set so that it helps the middle class. Even if it is not what the corporate special interests want.

Are you saying that it's not the economics, but that the security risks to our country are so high that we should stop all non-essential trade?

The point in question is expatriating production facilities, not trade per se. I apologize for not being 100% clear on that. When we lack the production facilities for essential goods or equipment any disruption of trade can have far reaching consequences.

You shouldn't, of course politicos don't believe in "loyalty", they just pass laws to make the domestic "human resources" do the things "they" want us to do...once they started sucking the blood out of our lives through the IRS, loyalty no longer meant a thing...
