By the way, I happen to live in Claremont.
This is NOT a racist town. Not at all.

She's going all out for that martyr status.

This is classic revolutionary hatred think Bolsheviks, Nazis, Khmer Rouge, Robert Mugabe when stories such as these appear. From Dunn straight to violence with scarcely a stopover thru "non-violence." One day one of these stunts will produce a pogrom and some hapless white person will take the brunt of their hate. And then the left will instead of making apologies will make justifications instead.

It may have been a publicity stunt with Downey...claimed neo-Nazis attacked him, cutting off his hair and painting a swastika on his face at a San Francisco airport.

The leftist/socialist agenda is based on victimhood, blame and lies. When will we learn?

I think you're very likely on to something, B. There's been a string of these "incidents," all somehow unsolved. I wonder if the police kept evidence from those? It would make sense that a serial hoaxer might be emboldened and sloppy enough to let herself be seen by wintesses, after getting away with other hoaxes.
Those two witnesses have a lot of courage to come forward. If this thing gets to trial, Dunn's lawyers will do everything possible to put the witnesses on trial, impugning their credibility and character. They are probably already doing intensive background research on them.

She's the only person with any motive. Hate crimes further her personal agenda and would have empowered her if she wasn't found to be the perpetrator.

Exactly.

Dunn's speech at the anti-hate rally following the "hate crime."
Over the top?
You decide.
To: Bullish
In her speech (linked above), she refers to herself as "an attorney," which would mean that she not only graduated a law school but also took the bar and is (or may be) licensed to actually practice somewhere. If so, she should be disbarred. If not, she should be barred from ever getting a license to practice. But given the nature of state bars, that would only happen if there was immense public pressure and legal action from people like Southeastern Legal Foundation. That's the only reason Clinton got fined 25,000 and lost his license for 5 years.

Have you seen the pictures of this woman?
She looks like liberal demons are possessing her.

What about the people blamed for the fake hate crimes?Unfortunately, no one cares about them, but where do they go to get their reputations back?

She looks like what she is -- a frumpy, dashiki-clad, middle-aged, leftist loony. Read her "speech" and remove all doubt about that. When she's not rambling incoherently, she's making some pretty hateful remarks in that "anti-hate" speech, eg. wants to drive people underground, wants them to go to h*ll. I think about half the speech by weight was "um." This woman appears more and more as somebody who's been advanced
way past her level of ability.
I noticed in another article that her lawyer has demanded to see the police evidence. He knows that since she's not been charged with anything, he has no such right and accordingly, the police haven't even responded to him. I believe he wants this information not just for himself and his client, but for all those leftist legal organizations all over the country that will be pouring into southern California if this is brought to trial. It's only a relatively minor misdemeanor case and given her standing in the community and (presumable) lack of priors, she would be likely to get off with a suspended sentence if convicted. But the left can't even let that much happen. It would put the feds in a stronger position to secure a verdict against her and could cause some of these students to actually start questioning what they are fed by their professors and start thinking for themselves. The left rightly recognizes how dangerous that could be for them and how quickly that sort of thing could spread in this age of the internet.

Their reputations? They have none, Mark. The mere fact that they are white, male heterosexuals makes them sub-human on most college campuses. They are guilty before they even walk in the door. That's why they're routinely subjected to humiliating attacks on their "self-esteem" in so-called "courses" they are required to take.
To: Bonaparte
One thing we can all agree on here.
Prof. Dunn is a college educated moron.

Lying mischief maker--put her away.
But-- this is a variation on Meunchausen's syndrome, where people fake illnesses, make themselves ill, or make others ill for attention.
Not too different from the pyromaniac, the firebug who joins the volunteer fire department -- so he can set the fires, get out the fire-trucks, and get a lot of attn.
Looks like it has a definte political affect--the Tawanna Brawley version.
