Beautiful story, Maggie. This will be passed around to to my recipients list.
Welcome Home! Glad you were able to spend time with your sis.
Latest word from Mrs.d about her dad...
His move to the Rehab Center is producing good results. He tires easily because he's working so hard toward recovery. He manage to get a blister on his hand from his work on the parallel bars due to his eagerness to walk again. His right side is still paralyzed, but through the rehab therapy, he is having to "rewire" his brain to send the proper message to his limbs.
He told his dr. he wants to get back to plumbing but has also accepted the fact that his release from rehab may very well be in a wheelchair vs. walking out on his own two feet.
Please continue to pray for God's healing touch. George is the best father-in-law a guy could ever want. He taught me a trade many years ago, and gave to me one of his most precious possessions and now one of mine - Mrs.d.
May God be praise for the work that He is and will be doing on George's behalf.

Visiting with family is always special especially in your case. I have 8 brothers and sisters.
All of us, all over the country.
My Mom went home to be with the Lord 5 years ago on my birthday.
Of all my family I miss her the most, I can call everyone else, I can't call her..
I take her death as sharing my birthday, mine into this earthly world,
Hers as her birth into the loving arms of Christ, I could deal with it in no other way.
I had an interesting request today in church.
The leader of the service Calvin wants me to give a testimony to the congregation.
He said "you should let the people that are new in the church know who the guy is that gives the announcements".
I thought that could be interesting so I said I would.
I don't have any idea what I will say, I just know the Lord will put his words in my mouth and pass them thru my lips..
I got a raving round of applause when I read Zell Millers speech !
That was fun !

Pardon me for eavesdropping, but...
I don't have any idea what I will say, I just know the Lord will put His words in my mouth and pass them thru my lips..
Many of us will be anxious to "hear" your testimony here at The Finest...
A wise man once told the story of being asked, "What is the greatest Spiritual Gift?"
His answer... "The greatest Spiritual Gift is the one that God can use at any given moment."
To: Diver Dave
Amen !
I was eavesdropping on your post too..
My Prayers for George, my father in law is George too.
He is a great guy.

Father, we pause again to lift up George, Dave's father-in-law, who has indeed been a father to him.
We know you are guiding him to be and do exactly what you want, already affecting those of us here at the Finest. We admire his faith and hard work to overcome the monkey wrench the evil one has thrown at him, and are certain he is an inspiration to all those around him.
Make all our paths fruitful for *You,* Lord!!
Help us to know how to reflect Your Holy Light in this world - - - Amen.

"My Mom went home to be with the Lord 5 years ago on my birthday." Mine went Home on my second son's 10th birthday, when I was only 31 years old, Rus.
The last time I saw her was when I was 27, and she and Daddy put the boys and me on a plane to join my husband in South Dakota. We went from there to Alaska, having added a baby girl to our family, and had no way to go to Florida for them to see her.
She was stricken by an aneurysm 2 days before remedial surgery for a blockage in her carotid artery when I was 29 - left paralyzed, blind and unable to speak for 18 months.
You can imagine my distress to be unable to travel from the top of the world to ever see her again, with a husband in the Air Force on 3-day rotating shifts 30 miles from Fairbanks, and 2 sons in school and a baby girl.
Life does not always deal even hands.
I look forward to seeing her again - - -
I know she knows how dearly loved she is . . .

"We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best."
Hi there, glad you spent some time with your Sis at the lake house. Here are a couple of pics from last night that I wanted to share with you. My friends daughter is one of the step dancers. She is much younger and never danced with this group, she did great and we were all so proud of her...so cute
