I just wanted to let y'all know I've got to go out of town again for a few days to help with our cousin getting settled into a nursing home. Please ping me to anything of particular interest while I'm gone and I'll try to catch up late Friday or Saturday. Thank you all so very much for sharing your insight and wisdom!

Thanks for the link to the "TIME: What is time and when did time start?" thread. Very interesting! The posted article you respond to definately reeks of the open-theism heresy.
However, I find open-theism useful, if only in that it clearly demonstrates that our reason is much too limited to understand God completely, which doesn't seem to be detering the open-theists one bit.
Your repsonses to that article were supurb. The open-theists #1 error is that they don't understand the concept of time, which has led them down the path to even greater errors.
Thanks again for the link, it will prove to be very useful!

I'm so very glad the article and posts were helpful to you, Ronzo! IMHO, it is intriguing that a group's understanding of "time" effects so many other things, i.e. theology, philosophy, politics, science.

Betty Boop (175): "But then again, it has been said the best way to "hide" something is to put it in plain view. Funny thing, that."
Funny, and sometimes painful. See below as an example.

Painful, indeed. We were on our way back home Friday late when we received a cell phone call that she had fallen and broken her hip. The hip replacement surgery was completed yesterday and tomorrow we will be going back again (we're about 3 hours away). She will be released on Tuesday and will have to go back to skilled nursing 24/7 - she is very confused and agitated and forgets that she cannot walk without a cane or walker. Previously she was unable to remember the physical therapists' instructions from moment to moment and thus they cut back on her exercise agenda. One of the issues this time will be how she can get enough physical therapy to recover from the hip replacement when her short term memory is so bad. She is also almost deaf and blind. Sigh...
The cousin is one of three sisters, all spinsters, all retired and in declining health. Two of the sisters (she is one) share a home and this ordeal is taking its toll on the other sister who now is alone at night.
My husband has been building onto the house to accommodate all of them (wheelchair access, bathrooms, etc.) but he is doing it all by his own hand and sadly the oldest sister is declining rapidly now, and he is not finished yet.
All prayers are much appreciated.

Oh Alamo-Girl, I'm so sorry these elderly family members of yours are going through such a difficult time. They and you are in my prayers.
