I have my opinion on Morris' expertise. I am quite familiar with Morris. I have listened to him often. You are free to think he is a genius. I have no animus against him personally. I suspect he is a decent, if rather personally troubled chap. I wish him the best.

OK...I'll play.

Dick Morris predictions (off the top of my head):

Hillary would not run for the Senate...then when she did..he predicted she would lose.

Hillary would run in '04 then not....now it's Hillary will run in '08.

Schwartzenegger would lose.

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Ok, so he has been wrong on occassion. I guess I didn't realize that you had to have a perfect record to be taken seriously as a political pundit. However, I still do not see anything that gives any reason to discount his conclusions here. If you are going to discredit anyone who has ever been wrong, then there is no reason to listen to anything anyone, including you, say.

Why are you so eager to discredit Morris's conclusions?

Your kidding right. You don't know why Morris resigned in '96 after the prostitute thing hit the newspapers.

He practically went from "Toe sucker to Oracle" overnight.

ne•o-ne•o•lib•er•al•ism n.

neocommunist political movement, a tipsy-topsy, infantile perversion of the Marxist-Leninist model, global in scope, beginning in the post-cold-war, unipolar 1990s, led by the '60s neoliberal baby-boomer "intelligentsia," that seeks power without responsibility, i.e., that seeks to dilute American power by concentrating power in said '60s neoliberals while yielding America's sovereignty to the United Nations, i.e., while surrendering to the terrorists, as it continues the traditional '60s neoliberal feint, namely: (1) concern for social justice, (2) distain for bureaucracy, and (3) the championing of entrepreneurship for the great unwashed.

....Kerry talks circuitously all day, all the time, and is not that intellectually nimble.

Most liberal pols are after power first, the pursuit of their socialist vision second, the welfare of the people way down the list. Lest they be exposed for what they are, circuitous rambling, dissembling, dodging and not answering questions, subterfuge and outright lies will continue to characterize them.

"Your kidding right."

no, not kidding! Interesting you should bring up 1995. I was still a liberal then and too busy doing my music thing to pay any attention to political news. In fact it wasn't before I really started paying attention to things that I switched sides, probably in '96 or '97. Thanks for letting me know.

We must remember that Bush's father trailed Mike Dukakis by 17 points in the months before the conventions. Until Bush Sr. ran negative ads, it seemed that the Massachusetts governor would be Reagan's successor. Kerry's bubble may prove to be just that fragile.

And Kerry is now polling BEHIND Bush. If the trend continues Bush will win 48.
