I for one really don't care what these people think of me/us. They never really wanted anything from us that money couldn't buy anyway. When they are in front of you and smiling while patting you on the back, just look for the knife it'll be there and has always been.
We are the ones with the big bucks, education, technology and they want it. They ask for it. We give it to them with strings attached and they don't like that. They want us to give them/share everything we have with them without them having to do anything for it. There are a lot of people in the U.S. that believe this way as well. So let them yell. Who really cares if they like the U.S. or not? Those that care and try to please them by giving them what they want are like parents given in to spoiled children crying because the parent won't give them something and they are saying I hate you, I hate you. Just remember, when they want something, they will come around with their hand out and a smile on their face and say it wasn't me that said that or Oh! I really like the U.S. and the people and not know really either one. So, let them yell.

Revived Media Shenanigans ping - Susan Page Pours Herself A Big Ol' Glass Of Pew Koolaid

As Freeper governsleastgovernsbest pointed out in his daily serving of The Today Show glop (Pew Foundation to Albright to Today Show - Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy?), Susan Page is just serving us regurgitated porridge from the Vast Left Wing Interlocking Directorate.

When the cook is a master's grad of Columbia University and a former alum of Newsday, I ain't hungry.

On, Off, or grab it for a Media Shenanigans/Schadenfreude ping:

What does speaking Spanish have to do with anything?

Are you John Flip-flop Kerry?

It appears that the longer we stay in Iraq, the more damage we are doing to our international reputation.

I know you are not "Susan". But you did make the statement above.

I don't care where the article comes or who wrote it. It's based on research that involves Kerry operatives like Madeline Albright and a whole host of leftist types. See here. Look at the bottom of the page.

Here is the other thread I mentioned.

I'm always very calm. I don't drink beer and have never tasted coffee. I am not on a "high horse" although it may appear that way to some from their vantage point. Not gonna "piss myself" but sometimes I can piss people off.

Bottom line? Anything out of PEW smells.

I really would love to see what happens if the USA takes up an isolationist standpoint and ceases to assist any EU or other world countries in fighting against terrorism or despotism. All of a sudden we'd be labeled cowards and ineffectual.

The moral of the story here is: The US cannot win in the war of wills. We will be perpetually looked upon as headstrong and cowboys. I don't know about you all, but I love being called a cowboy and a rabble rouser. I think that's the essence of being American, and we should embrace that. Being strong means a lot more than appeasing the world community when they disagree with how we're handling affairs. Let them pound sand under their Muslim rulers! God Bless America!

If you live in the US, you will need to be able to speak Spanish/Mexican in order to buy a hamburger shortly.

No, Kerry isn't one of my heroes, not by a long shot. I had hopes for Bush but he shot himself when he refused to protect America by closing the borders.

I'm not sure becoming isolationist would do much good anymore. The electorate has allowed America to become so infiltrated with communists and socialists that our level of decency has erroded way below anything I ever suspected was possible.

So, unless there was a major house cleaning to go with it, it would be futile. I used to think the hippies were not such good folks, now they shine compared to politicians.

This socialist minded President we have in the White House thinks that we should spend $1.2 Billion on the United Nations to finance the contruction of a new headquarters building for the UN and a measly $10 million to protect our borders!
Never tell me I should vote for a globalist when America needs a PATRIOT !!

Certainly I'm not a socialist conservative, like so many Bush supporters on FR appear to be.

It is a fact that some will always vote Left and some will always vote Right.

Elections are always won in the middle.

If only men voted, America would have elected every GOP candidate as President since WWII. Yes, including Dole.

Women, sweetheart Socialists they are, would have elected every 'Rat candidate.

We cannot win elections and govern by being ignorant of these fundamental realities.

While it may make you feel purer to destroy your country because Bush isn't quite conservative enough for you, I have a higher purpose.

LOL! You crack me up. The $10 million is just a small part of the huge amounts spent on border protection.

As far as the UN? It isn't a gift.

The UN isn't real keen on the Bush plan.

Your comparisons might seem logical if mistakenly taken at face value. In reality they are nonsensical.

As far as Bush not being a Patriot? I'd point out to you that because of what he has done to the Islamic wackos he and his family will never be safe. Not ever. These nutcases will be out to kill him and his wife and his family forever! Knowing that Bush, knowing that his wife Laura would always be a target, he still did what he did after 9/11. I submit he is much more of a Patriot than you will ever be.

Your numbers are way out of date. The very last thing Bush wants to do is close the border with Mexico.

The current DHS budget reduces the BP's budget from last year by 18 million. That reduction is coming out of personnel. There will be no new hires this year.

Bush budget adds hundreds of immigration enforcement jobs ^

Let’s see. The front door is still easy to exploit and the few agents that are being added to the back door won’t affect a thing.
The fact is; if measured in percentages, we are only about 10% more secure now then before 9/11. Bush could do a lot more, but refuses to.

Everything done on the Mexican border is smoke and mirrors. This is a story that I heard from a friend of mine in Seattle. This friend is a DEA agent. About 6 months ago, his team busted up a major drug operation. One of the main suspects was an illegal alien from Mexico. Said suspect only received 4 months of jail time. When he was deported to Mexico, my friend set up surveillance on the home he was operating out of in Seattle. He wanted to see how long it would take for this guy to get back in the US. Three days is all it took for this deported felon to get from Mexico to Seattle. Of course he was again arrested and is in jail for “Reentry after Depot”. When my friend questioned him about getting back in, they guy says it easy. The key is to come alone, not in a group. The BP goes after the big groups not the individual. They don’t have the manpower.

I relayed this to my coworkers, who used to be BP agents and they confirmed the truth. When the sensors go off and it’s only one person, they will not respond unless there is no other activity, which is very rare. The big groups get you big stats, small groups get you small stats. It’s all about stats.

Sorry tempest, when we still have over 5,000 + illegal aliens sneaking in each day, we are not secure. Bush could do a lot to remedy this, but since it would affect his big business supporters, he won’t.

Why is he even supporting an anti-American, anti-freedom, anti sovereignty outfit like the UN?

Then we have different views as to where we want America to go.

President Bush is working as hard as he can to get Agenda 21 in place and since I don't feel the Founders had that in mind for us, I am against it and darn near everything else the UN stands for.
