sounds like the kind of claim that a former democratic candidate would have made...

Great election strategy Kerry
"Vote for me because foreigners prefer me over Bush". Yeah, that'll fly. LOL!
P.S. Kerry does talk to Foreign Heads of State, every night on AOL Instant Messenger. Let's see there's "The Big Kahuna of Java", "Der Reichsfuhrer", El Presidente", "Fearless Leader", and "Mr Big" to name a few.
Heck, they talk to me too, they're always on-line. :-)

I never imagined Kerry would engender this much hatred, but he has conducted himelf in the most vile way during this campaign-- I can't imagine anyone likeing him. As sick as Clinton was, you could see how certain people could fall under his spell. I just don't get how anybody could like Kerry-- he's charmless scum.

Ha ha - me, too! (Then, that thought led to thoughts of Bubba, so that was just unpleasant.)

In the Free Republic of Texas CEDAR TREES have the same respect as John Kerry. You cut them down and "git rid" of the damn things.

"If he feels it is that important an assertion to make, he ought to list some names," Mr. Powell told "Fox News Sunday." "If he can't list names, then perhaps he should find something else to talk about. I don't know what foreign leaders Senator Kerry is talking about. It's an easy charge, an easy assertion to make."

I am starting to like Powell. I think he is slow to anger, but Kerry and the Dems lies and underhanded tactics finally exceeded Powell's threashold of tolerance.

He's on the team. Bush made sure he was before going in to Iraq.
I see a 10 million dollar ad campaign with Powell citing the virtues of re-electing Bush come September!

I think Powell will do what he can, sort of incidentally, but I read that Bush specifically asked Powell and Rumsfeld to stay out of campaigning. I think it's so that people can't accuse the Bush administration's defense and foreign policy being influenced by the campaign.
Rumsfeld: Bush Orders No Campaigning for Him
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=4562966 WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said on Sunday President Bush has ordered him and Secretary of State Colin Powell to stay out of the U.S. presidential campaign.
Appearing on the CBS "Face the Nation" program, Rumsfeld said though he and Powell may be drawn into discussions regarding U.S. foreign policy and military issues before the Nov. 2 face-off between Bush and Democrat John Kerry, "We will be doing it in a manner that is not campaign-style at all."
"There won't be a role. The president has specifically asked Colin Powell and me not to be involved in the campaign," Rumsfeld said.
"He thinks that it's best that the secretary of state and the secretary of defense tend to their responsibilities and not allow their departments to become enmeshed in the campaign."
