It's not a blow to Bush it'll be a blow to Europe as a whole, now that the terrorist know they can push Europe around...I think it'll be a big mistake and one they'll live to regret sorely.

"Bush's" war on terror?
Does everyone else wants to surrender?

Unfortunately, history has shown if someone pushes Europe around Uncle Sucker comes to their rescue only to be stabbed in the back by the ungrateful wretches.
Is Spain now against us? They have been attacked viciously. Am I to believe the new Socialist government will simply shrug its shoulders? Amazing.

After the slaughter of 2 world wars, except for Britain, the European gene pool is awash with appeasers and quislings or as in the case of Sweden, out and out cowards.
Only a few bastions of bravery still exist.....like Denmark.

Blow to President. No way, it is a blow to Spain and Western Europe who have no guts to stand up against terrorist. Nice try liberals this is not going to work for people who know what is at stakes. So Spain is joining France frogs and typical policy of appeasement. What a pathetic way to give up. Liberals are having feast day and terrorist are having fun. My question is to Spain -- what have you accomplish by voting for party that gave you misery? Enjoy the ride. If you have next attacks dont come and blame USA!
To: Pokey78
"Spain was identified as "a weak link" in the US-led coalition in Iraq as the document noted that a majority of Spaniards was against the war. "It appears Spanish voters [perhaps other countries as well] separate the war on terror [for] and the war on Iraq [against]. This is what they appeared to be voting on. Bush may have goofed in not finishing AQ first as a bigger threat than Iraq.

What makes the Spainards believe that bombings will stop because they brought the Socialists back into power? They will have to use the 1,300 troops they will be taking out of Iraq to keep peace at home. The terrorists in Spain are trying to settle grudges from the 15th & 16th centuries, not just new ones.

This may give the ETA more ammo to carry out "change thru detonation".

Bush is not responsible for the election outcome in Spain

That is the rational, common sense view. It's too bad that these people have managed to learn nothing from history.

The WOT will go on without Spain. Besides, if the logic of most of the people here (including myself) is right, Spain and other European countries are going to have their own experiences with a WOT.
AQ, ETA, and all other organizations that see their chance to boss around the continent will have a field day.

Protesters shouted "Manipulator" and "You fascists are the terrorists". Others yelled "Liar" and "Get our troops out of Iraq". Incredible.
These people don't blame the terrorists who just massacred hundreds of their countrymen. Rather they blame their leaders for fighting terrorism and getting the terrorists mad.
Talk about inverted morality.
They remind me of the Europeans who tried to appease Hitler in the the hope he would just kills Jews and others, and leave them alone. Cowards.

It's ablow to freedom, and Europe already tried the appeasement thingy with Hitler. Those that forget history are doomed to repeat it. God help the Spanish in the future.
