I know what many here think of Debka, but this was an interesting analysis nonetheless.

It sounds plausible to me.

Poland has raised their alert to high. If islamist try to do something I can tell you only this; we will hit them back so hard they will wish they were not born. Poland is not France we don't take a crop. And if they try to do this in USA all I can tell to muslin communities get the hell out from this country. Liberals like Kerry or Hillary or other democrats whining babies don't understand this is war! I know what I type seems harsh and maybe cold but to win war you have to face enemy and now after what happen in Madrid should be no doubt what this war is all about. Innocent Israelis are killed every day, 3000 innocent Americans perished in fire, 200 Spanish innocent just lost their lives and many more in different countries because of religion of peace. Time is coming when islam will taste their own medicine. I have no hate toward people but what goes around comes around. Either they clean their house or somebody will.

If I had to guess i would say Italy is next, but thats an attempt to apply reason to fanatics.
I think any claims of reclaiming territory is a smokescreen on the part of terrorists. The fact it that they hate infidels anywhere for any reason PERIOD.

Well....since we're on "M", I vote Mecca.

Anybody have a reasoned or educated guess as to how this will play out in the Spanish elections?

Muslim terrorist attacks in Europe where quite common until the 1990's when Europe essentially declared itself neutral in America's war against terrorism. When Spain backed Operation Iraqi Freedom, that neutrality ended, at least for them. There is no doubt who carried out this attack. The only question, and it's an academic one, is how much, if any, assistance did the Muslims get from ETA.

Anybody have a reasoned or educated guess as to how this will play out in the Spanish elections? No one really knows. Some nervous nellies on other threads were saying that the small demonstrations for the socialists in Spain was going to sweep them into power tomorrow.
I disagree. I think the Spanish won't vote for appeasment. We'll see tomorrow around 3:00 in the afternoon eastern time.

Well, the first Al Qaeda message claiming responsibility said that Italy would be next followed by the United States.

Poland has raised their alert to high. Good point. I was thinking Poland, Japan, and every other nation that has helped in the Iraqi liberation. This is a classic offensive move, straight out of the schoolyard.

1. Turkey was first. Islamic fundamentalists were constrained to recover the honor and glory of the Ottoman caliphates which were trampled by Christian forces in 1917 in the last days of World War I.
2. Spain followed. There, al Qaeda set Muslims the goal of recovering their lost kingdom in Andalusia.
3. Italy and its capital were third. Muslim fundamentalists view Rome as a world center of heresy because of the Vatican and the Pope.
4. Vienna came next because the advancing Muslim armies were defeated there in 1683 before they could engulf the heart of Europe.
Man, can these dudes hold a grudge or what?

I wonder if America is next, say around our election time in November? I sure hope President Bush will have our nation on a heightened state of alert! And may John Kerry save his "lily white ass" as one of his fellow veterans said, and by the way, Kerry looks like the person from the "Tales of the Crypt", who looks like the crypt keeper to me! This is odd. I think we should pray that the Byzantine Empire is restored. . . since their culture was stolen by the Islamic world.
Except Christians don't do that sort of thing. . . so much for all religions being equal.

Bravo for the Poles! It took the
combined armies of Hitler and Stalin longer to conquer the Poles than it took Hitler alone to wallop the French.
