I know this is from last month, but I just came across it and it's a FANTASTIC speech by a great man.
Take heed, Republicans. You have to STAND by your principles.

We can use Tom McClintock out here right now. Jenny Granholm("I don't want to raise taxes" during the campaign) wants a tax increase right now on booze and smokes. Virg Bernero (Dem state senator from Lansing) wants a 'pop tax'.

The Democrats are pushing a measure through the legislature to require the State Building Code to incorporate the principles of feng shui. I'm from an area of Michigan where 20' of snow fell this winter--we only have about 2 1/2' left on the ground. This idea of making buildings feel good about themselves sounds intriguing. Buildings must have it hard feeling good while they are cold and covered with a blanket of white. How are reputable contractors in the area marketing it?

By God! What a speech!
(And we're stuck with having Kay "Bailey Hutchison" speak at OUR 'Lincoln Day' Dinner...)

Truly a great speach. I still haven't found anything that I disagree with Tom on -- he's perfect!

I knew that Tom McClintock was a bright guy, but I didn't know he had such a great sense of humor. He ought to show that side of his personality a little more often, and smile a little more. Maybe he'd shake his "stiff" image, and win a state-wide race.

Great post -- thanks!

What do you mean peoples taxes are too high? Look at how much we let them keep.Good Lord. The arrogance of whoever said this is incredible.
Thanks for posting this. Sure am glad I voted for Tom.
Sure wish everybody did.
