Don't jump to conclusions, based on a couple of posts.

I am most definitely NOT one of those people who want to see Kerry elected, just because Bush is not going to singlehandedly round up every illegal alien and throw them across the border.

But this "diversity visa" program is pretty ridiculous. It has been in existence for some time, but I think we should use rationale for allowing people into the country, not a lottery. I have no love for the State Department -- they undermine Bush every chance they get.

The green card lottery was signed into law by the first President Bush in 1990.

I am allergic to anything, which has "diversity" in it.

"Bush won't be allowed" .. "a curious bystander"

You are kidding aren't you ..??

How disgusting! NOBODY WAS A CURIOUS BYSTANDER that day .. nobody except maybe a liberal disrupter like yourself.

The visa lottery program is decades old. It is actually premissed on a very sound principle. However, it was formulated on the melting pot United States NOT multiculturalism.

The point was to keep immigration balaced so one group does not overwhelm the other. The actual numbers are very small in comparison to the applications AND what is not mentioned by the outrage crowd is that YOU STILL HAVE TO FILL OUT THE APPLICATION. IOW if you are on a watch list or a prohibited group (ie commie) you still doe not get in for free.

The lottery is for the opportunity to apply if you meet certain criteria, not a complete free pass.

Good grief. Lighten up. First of all, that statement was a big sarcastic response to the real liberal disrupters - the ones who are offended because he mentions 9/11 in his ads. And I am not a liberal disrupter.

And we all know how effective the INS (or whatever that new offshoot agency in charge of immigration is now called) is at vetting visa applicants.

Okay - sorry - but usually people make a habit of adding the following: /sarcasm

That eliminates any problems; at least until we get used to your sarcastic humor.

Exactly why the Evil Party plays down the terror threat and wants 9-11 "off the table."
