"Having lost the primary in humiliation his brother had been caught trying to wiretap an opponent's office Kerry went to Boston College Law School. Later, he was appointed assistant district attorney, then was elected lieutenant governor under Mike Dukakis in 1982."
Enough for me. I already knew he was liberal, but people seem to forget Dukakis. That was such a stompin'. It makes you feel good when things like that happen.

Did anybody see the old photos of Kerry in fatigues? I know why he opposed the war. The uniform made him LOOK like GOMER PILE aka Jim Nabors!!! Hasn't anyone seen the resemblance?

I surely don't understand why questioning Kerry's patriotism is a no-no. I can see why President Bush shouldn't do it, but I can't see why other Conservative groups shouldn't.
Kerry's only loyalty is to himself.

It says in this article that Dick Cavett set up a public debate on the Vietnam war between Kerry and John O'Neill back in 1971. I wonder if they taped it? Has anyone seen it? I think that would be very interesting see what 'ole WaffleKerry had to say.
This article shows just how low John will go to get elected.

"Angry wives of American prisoners of war [POWs] lashed out yesterday at peace advocate John Kerry of Waltham, Mass., accusing him of using the POW issue as a springboard to political office," the Associated Press reported July 22, 1971. "One of the women accused Kerry of 'constantly using their own suffering and grief' for purely political reasons."... Patricia Hardy of Los Angeles, whose husband had been killed in 1967, told reporters, "I think he couldn't care less about these men or these families." And this man has the temerity of accusing President Bush of using 9/11 for political purposes.

As with Kerry's Senate testimony, which contained wild and unsubstantiated allegations of deliberate U.S. atrocities throughout the ranks, many of them disproved, the mission outweighed the truth.I don't think anyone has disproved a single allegation that Kerry made.
We can argue that he didn't provide enough verification or didn't arrange for cross examination of the witnesses at the "Winter Soldier Investigation", the source he cited for his allegations.
But contrary to some, I know of no available refutation of even part of the "Winter Soldier Investigation".
This may change, and if so, it will probably come from FR's new affiliate - wintersoldier.com:

Another thread today has excerpts from his Congressional testimony in which he admits personally taking part in the VVAW trip to Paris which created a "separate peace" with North Vietnam during the Paris Peace talks.

Kerry Met With Viet Cong and North Vietnamese in Paris in 1971
I realize that we cannot negotiate treaties [But he did exactly that! -- VR] and I realize that even my visits in Paris, precedents had been set by Senator McCarthy and others, in a sense are on the borderline of private individuals negotiating, et cetera. I understand these things.

The VVAW Treaty. Point one is that we withdraw immediately and totally. Then we hope the other points happen as promised. If they don't, of course, we've already left anyway.
This is the leadership vision we could have as early as next January.

There's a link to the thread in reply 14, and one to the text of the bogus "treaty" in reply 17.

When are some of the "beneficiaries" of the re-education camps in "liberated" South Vietnam
going to appear on TV to "thank" Kerry for helping them see the light of the brilliance
of The Benevolent Father, Uncle Ho Chi Minh?
If nothing else, I hope plans are being covertly brewed in places like "Little Saigon"
in Southern California to show JFinKerry would be a strong leader...
in helping dictators open concentration camps and filling mass graves.
