I don't check snopes for everything I read, but my assessment turned out to be correct, as was posted on #13 of this thread What concerned me was two articles with different attributions, not whether the gist of them was true.

The truth, I believe is that Kerry's conduct was worrisome to his superiors and he definitely used the war to further his political career.

He did not agree with any part of it, yet participated and did his best to create a war record.

Very strange behavior IMO. Very strange indeed.

In fact, I would call it what it is, dangerous and self serving. Certainly not the kind of behavior we expect from a candidate for Commander and Chief.
