I have a feeling the Dems are going to bankrupt themselves trying to get this colossal loser into the White House. I am one of the ones that thinks they don't have a chance in hell. I think this is wonderful.

The money usually backs a winner. The DNC is hurting also --- according to Carl Cameron, the DNC has a whole $15 Million on hand.

Why would a US Senator SALUTE a police officer?? I thought it was a military thing.

See, articles like this are just cover for the fact that Kerry's advisers are telling him to do everything he can to disappear. Kerry's best chance is for Kerry to remain as much an "unnamed" candidate as possible. "Unnamed" Democrat vs. Bush does better than any actual real Democrat, and that includes Kerry.
He wants to win on a "Anybody but Bush" ticket, and the best way for him to do that is to crawl in a hole and cover himself up. I actually strongly suspect we'll see very little of Kerry himself in the next few months, what we will see is the attack dogs like MoveOn come out in force to slander and demonize W.

LA Times THE RACE TO THE WHITE HOUSE
Kerry's Focus Is Fundraising***People familiar with the Kerry fundraising strategy said Wednesday that the campaign was actively reaching out to Democratic contributors who had supported other candidates. They're planning a 50-city fundraising blitz to take place over six or eight weeks. They're adding regional finance chairs to an expanding finance team.
And they're setting up a joint account with the Democratic National Committee, so that a donor could write one check for $27,000 - a $2,000 donation for Kerry and $25,000 to the DNC, the maximums now allowed by law.
DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe sent an e-mail to 2 million people on a Democratic list seeking contributions for Kerry late Wednesday afternoon, after North Carolina Sen. John Edwards officially dropped out of the race.
McAuliffe said the DNC plans to raise at least $100 million, which it will spend on behalf of Kerry, during the general election.***

LOL! It kind of begs the question of whether they coordinate with MoveOn.org, when they are so obviously coordinated with every major print outlet, eh?

"The object is to give Democrats cover during a Republican advertising onslaught and to make sure that the national political environment stays favorable for Democrats everywhere," said Jim Jordan, who was Kerry's campaign manager until a staff shake-up last fall, and now is a spokesman for the Media Fund. No coordination, nope, none. Honest.

We can always hope.
The following post showed up on my own small forum (not exactly a conservative membership) last night:
I was just thinking that Kerry is like the roll with a hamburger, he covers both sides of the meat. Now we are beginning to find out that the roll is what hurts our health. Is that a coincidence or what?

No not yet. It isn't possible during the week. Cincinatus and I hope to get in to see it this weekend.
