"Cruz said the girl would be reunited with her mother after authorities in New Jersey break the news to her about what happened."

How long is this going to take?

I found it amazing that a mother recognized her daughter after 6 years of growth and change.

I changed dramatically from my baby pictures to my elementary school pictures. Somehow, the parental instinct won over in this case.

I'll be so glad when mother and child are finally reunited.

At the party, she told the girl she had gum in her hair and pulled out five strands for DNA testing, Cuevas told The Associated Press on Tuesday. She said she folded them in a napkin and placed them in a plastic bag, which she locked in a safe at home, and contacted authorities.

Quick thinking on this mothers part.

Interesting detail. I wonder if the investigators will revisit their original conclusion to find out why they missed the obvious.

Improvise.

Adapt.

Overcome.

"It was unclear what brought the child and her mother to the same party." - There's something fishy about that....

Amazing story and smart thinking of the mother.

But poor child, can you imagine being told at age
6 that your mother really isn't your mother but
kidmapped you? The child is going need a lot
of counseling.

I hope they throw away the key on the kidnapper for 10x
the 6 years she stole from the mother and child. But lets what happens, she'll probably get 6 months.

There are so many missing facts in this story that it's frustrating. Where was the mother when the fire started? Why did she not take try to take the baby with her? Were the mother and father married? Are they married now? Were they living together when this other woman visited? What was the mother doing at a birthday party in Willingboro?

Were the mother and father married? Are they married now?

How would that have any effect on the story? I mean, besides so you could make a moral judgement?

My oldest, a girl, will turn 6 in a little over a month. I can't imagine how this mother is feeling. Jubilant her child is live, but devastated that she missed those formative years.

Must have been watching Forensic Files on Court TV. That was quick thinking on her part.

Don't worry, I never believed the baby for one minute.
