The truth is, the Marines were protecting his ass from murdering mobs. He signed a letter of resignation, and left of his own accord (the other choice was to stay and get killed).

We saved this guy's a** and he is too cowardly to admit that he ran away. Aristide agreed to the rebel's conditions 100% which means he was not negotiating with them but surrendering to all their demands.
If he doesn't shut up we should arrange a flight back to town.
