Maybe if Tamee had filed a complaint nearly two decades ago, right after Arnold supposedly grabbed her breasts, she could have avoided going through the emotional upheaval she did by having publicly brought up the incident just days prior to the recall election, and then not getting the sympathetic reaction from the media and the voters that she had hoped for.
Janet Jackson.
Were these women prompted to 'public discussion' when Paula reported. . .Kathleen reported; Juanita reported reported the activities of Bill Clinton?
Were they outraged. . .did they even care?
Would bet they voted for Clinton a second time as well.
I still say that the biggest story here is what hasn't been reported. Arnie is a good looking guy, well connected and influential in show business and a multi-millionaire, yet a little grope 20 years ago is the worst that surfaced. Hell, Willie got it wet just sitting at his desk! That Arnie didn't get a little on the side in all the years in Hollywood is unbelievable!
In the heart of every female is a couple of stories about some male that did/said something inappropriate years ago. They are mostly wishful thinking by the female and incidents that the male in question wouldn't remember in a 100 years. This honey was nothing more than a political dirty trick that didn't work for the dems.
(yawn) That's not true, Linnea....zzzzzzzzz...
I was sexually harassed on the job. My boss' business partner decided walk up behind me and grab my breasts while I was at the coffee maker. It sure as hell wasn't funny, amusing, or invited. This creepo was older than my father. When I told my father what happened, he was ready to get roll up his sleeves and beat the snot of out the guy. I offered my resignation and left at the end of the obligatory two weeks.
Getting groped is an obvious form of harassment. I don't consider compliments or whistles of appreciation harassment when, in a given situation, people are equals (such as walking on the street, back in my youth at clubs, etc.) But physically grabbing intimate parts of people when express permission has not been given is harassing, and out-of-line comments in the workplace are harnessing.
Back when I was in college, I was a manager at a fast food restaurant. My husband, who was still my boyfriend at the time, decided to visit me at work. I had just finished opening up a new drawer when I turned to a customer and asked, "How can I help you?"
With a particularly smarmy tone, he replied, "Hey honey, why don't you dance naked on the counter and spill milk all over yourself?" His buddy thought this was hilarious.
I was stunned. "Excuse me, what did you say?"
The idiot repeated himself.
Now I was mortified, ill-prepared to reply to such an outrageous statement, until my eyes caught Tony standing behind them, working his jaw like he was crunching teeth.
To my supreme satisfaction, I offered, "Why don't you ask my boyfriend about that? He's standing right behind you."
The guy whirled around, looked up at my strapping, tattooed, dangerously smoldering husband, and nearly urinated on himself. He started stammering and stuttering and offering hasty apologies, while my future husband inquired - in a deep voice that could never be construed as joking - whether he should take both guys outside so they wouldn't bleed on my floor. He was dead serious, and I knew, based on friends' accounts of his tumultuous youth, that he could do it.
Assuring him that wouldn't be necessary, I repeated the question and they contritely placed their orders.
My future husband got a big hug and kiss for coming to my "rescue" and I vowed to myself never to tolerate that kind of remark again.
Heh-heh-heh -- wickedly funny.
Linnea Harwell, who alleged that Schwarzenegger made unwanted sexual advances toward her in 1998, said the fact the groping allegations had little impact on the election was disheartening.
Anonymous Associated Press Writer Releases Disinformation On Schwarzenegger
An anonymous Associated Press staff writer today (Feb 29, 9:35am) released a "hit piece" on California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, trying to "stir the pot" on the politically motivated groping allegations that were lodged against him just prior to the recent recall election.
The anonymous AP staffer claimed that "Linnea Harwell... alleged that Schwarzenegger made unwanted sexual advances toward her in 1998", and that the governor later dismissed the numerous allegations which surfaced close to the election as "old news".
Schwarzenegger married Maria Shriver in early 1986, which would have had Schwarzenegger cheating on his wife more than 12 years after their marriage.
However, Linnea Harwell actually worked with Schwarzenegger in 1988, on the set of the movie Twins, fifteen years before Schwartzenegger's gubernatorial run, not five years.
Why the anonymous AP staffer included the bogus date is a mystery, but it is known that the date was inserted within the crucial first three sentences of the hit piece, which the casual reader is most likely to read.
At this time, in the absence of a correction or retraction, the bogus "news" article continues to spread over the Net.
Would you like some napkins and a Depends with your order, sir? ;-)
