My knowledge of Eisner is only from press reports, this self-serving memo and ... Eight pages? Eisner is nuts/compulsive/something. He's the boss, employment at will, fire the guy and move on.

Sure he knew. And if Ovitz was out of control under Eisner, wasn't that Eisner's mangerial failings?

I think you're right that Ovitz sealed his fate by complaining about the "gay mafia". GLAAD acknowledges that there's a "gay mafia", or at least a large number of gays in Hollywood who back each other up. But its not politically correct for straight guys to mention it
