Great tag line!

And the number one foreign visitor to the White House during the Clinton presidency:

TERRORIST YASSER ARAFAT!

Hmmm...people have asked - was there more to this Clinton disaster that gross dereliction of duty?

Bill Frist. Or Lamar Alexander.

Those preach to the choir, are from a state Bush will certainly carry without them.

I think Cheney will be on the ticket, but if not, Bush would be well advised to turn to a Catholic from a swing state as PA, MI, etc...

The Useless Nations can't put a bandaid on a paper cut much less defend the US.

If there was a paper cut to be had, you can bet that Kerry would be trying to get another Purple Heart for it.

He'll most likely retain the lead, but if Edwards manages to take advantage of these hamhanded tactics being used by Kerry, he might be able to vault ahead.

It's starting to look like the Dems might as well have chosen Michael Ducasus again.

All the Republicans have to do is link Kerry to Ted Kennedy the same way they linked Mike Dukakis to Willie Horton. Campaign ads can show Kerry "morphing" into Ted Kennedy as their similar liberal voting records in the senate are compared. Most of the United States detests Ted Kennedy. And John Kerry is just like him.

I wouldn't be so quick to base my campaign strategy on linking Jihad John to Teddy boy.

Many people, even though they do not generally agree with Kennedy, are willing to give him a pass and let him be out of sympathy for the death of JFK (the real one) and brother Bobby.

Say what you will about Teddy's wretchedness in today's world, Americans carry a place in their hearts for a family who lost two sons to psycho killers.

Kerry's big weakness is his record in the Senate

Yes. And his blatant undisguised opportunistic phoniness. He's another unlikable Al Gore who tries to pretend he's tough and can be a pit bull but in reality people see through it and see its all a game. He has no core.

I would like him to hold off on the self-destructing until about September or so. Our dream candidate, Howard Dean, was torpedoed before he got out of the gate (aka the convention).

Kerry is capable of self-destructing. Let me analyze the factors of John Kerry:

(1) He is not as electable as Gore, and Gore couldn't even capture an EC majority. Kerry has a well-cooked, through-and-through, coast-to-coast leftist record, whereas Gore was more conservative in his early years. With that, he could be PERCEIVED as more of a moderate. Every day, more people are waking to the reality that Kerry is an elitist limousine liberal with no right turns in his future. Besides, Kerry has so little gravitas or personal charm he could kill a hyena of boredom. Bush, unlike Kerry, comes across as genuine and more concerned with the people, whereas Kerry is said elitist.

(2) I doubt he can take another tough race, one that will be 100x tougher than the toughest race he ever had to face. 1996 against Bill Weld was enough for him. Bush ain't Bill Weld, and this ain't Massachusetts. No more free rides out here, especially in "fly-over country".

(3) Bush comparatively hasn't touched a cent, whereas Kerry is going to have to rebuild after primary season. Bush will likely adopt a 'fire at will' strategy as Kerry attempts to regain his warchest. Nothing like kickin 'em when they're down.

(4) His back is going to get pinned to the wall on a number of issues, such as gay marriage, national security, and the economy (if things are in high gear around November, and I suspect things will have improved). If we have gay marriage (supermajority of US disapproves), stability on the security front with a possible capture of Osama, and an economy getting itself back together, Kerry is not going to have very much to stand on.

I would like him to start destruct sequence after about, oh, late-September or so. That way he is losing momentum going into the debates.

the real question is if Bush will even bother to call Kerry on his voting attendance or special interests. AIG alone should be enough to deflate his special interest claims.

You're right. Better Kerry than Edwards. Kerry's a flaw on a flaw.

NO DAMMIT. Kerry is the one we want to run against now that Howard has left the building. Lets save the ammo for when it counts....

I'd save that for a zinger...

You know, "I voted against the President's divisive anti-gay amendment..."

"Well, Senator, I needed SOMETHING to get you to show up for work..."

No clear cut winner at the convention and Hillary can step in without one vote from "the people".

There's no way on earth she'll submit herself to one year+ of extended and intense scrutiny, let alone the requisite mingling among the great unwashed.
